Sorry but I can see this as the only way for Bungie to save this game. We have all paid for what most have come to think of as a Beta of what we thought and were promised. We are then meant to sit around and wait for a Dlc which cost about he same as the game itself. That's meant to make people happy? Now I don't care if you are a Ps fan boy or and Xbox gamer (joke), none of us deserve to have to fork out more money for a full game. So due to this I think we should get a free DLC from Bungie with an apology for selling us a Beta not the full game. This free DLC/patch should redo the story, making it worthy of the people that brought us Halo. Proper cut scenes that tell a true story, maybe even a twist in there. The Awoken queen recognising your race and responding to you appropriately, not just calling you "it". None of that "I'll explain later" rubbish, a real story that gets to your soul. Bungie owe it to themselves to grip us with a real first episode, to a game that is meant to be around for 10 years.
If you agree please comment so Bungie/Activison might take notice.
Just to make this clear, I am asking for the story to be fixed. Not multi player maps, guns or anything that shouldn't be in the game we all bought. The story that was cut and we all saw was in the game before the cuts. That can only come as a free DLC or patch, if that's a better word for people. However it has to fix the nonsensical story, that is not what is advertised on the back of the case. Please read the case, "rich cinematic story telling". That is what we thought we had bought, that is what we should have. Hope that makes things clear for some that think anyone that agrees wants some kind of hand out. As we don't, we just want what we paid for. A story driven game, not a watered down version of what was touted.
I do have theory why the story is so bad and nondescript. My theory is that it was written by deej. You know the guy that gives nondescript answers to every question? That's all I can think of as to why the story is so bad, it's deej's fault. As it can't be Bungie can it? They brought us the original Halo and the emotional Halo Reach, remember the end of that? Truly an amazing ending, Bungie did that. They couldn't of written this Destiny tripe. Seriously watch this....

This is more gripping than the whole of destiny. So basically Bungie advertised a roast dinner with all the trimmings and gave us a pot noodle instead.

Also this from one of the leads of Bungie

I personally love the part where he talks about Destiny not being a MMO, it's more of story driven.
Edit - changed title as even though I explain what I was asking for, some seem to be confused.

I don't see them doing this, they have no legal obligation to, and Activison is an operations driven corporation, not an HR driven corp which would focus more effort on experience and content than sales. They're probably just going to put more stuff in the DLC's you pay for and maybe add something new in a patch to sate people's appetites, IF THAT, because they don't even have to do that legally. And everyone knows people are going to be buying the DLC's and the Sequels if they enjoy the game, so as long as they profit they're happy with it as is. I think i got good value out of my dollar for this game, im still playing it, and i will still continue to play it in the coming months. I', even buying the season pass for DLC's next paycheck more likely than not. so im not signing my name for this one, but heres a free bump instead.

Agreed.

Signed, they should have released the complete game in the first place. Though its not gonna happen.

Tell daddy not to buy that 48 pack of beer every 6 hours and maybe youd have just enough in 2 days

We should at least have some free DLC but I can see how easy it would backfire on Bungie. They would come across as slightly desperate, which I weird because they've made a ton of money already. If people don't like the DLC then they'll be even worse off because if the free DLC is shit then nobody's gonna buy any DLC, and with that, Destiny is forgotten

Agreed - signed!

Signed because the extension pack is crap. If you wanna renew our trust you better do it right.

Signed as -blam!-... Especially after beta testers say the beta had more story

Signed, just cause I like free stuff

I think a lot of us know this is just wishful thinking, but yeah, signed.

"We like to tell big stories and we want people to put the Destiny universe on the same shelf they put Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, or Star Wars; we've already seen they do that with Halo," Parsons said. "We were extremely proud of what we achieved with Halo… I'm pretty convinced we are going to do it again with Destiny in a way that maybe even Halo never achieved before." This ia the claim that they made about there story pve part of the game yet all special attention and care and updates go to pvp community's and effects pve with every complaint they jump on for pvp. Im just gona leave their quote here and let it sink in.

What about the people that paid for it already? There are no refunds in these kind of transactions. They'll feel screwed over if you get it for free because you spent $40 on nothing.

I don't see how they can fix the story when we've now all played the story that was given to us - it'll make even less sense of stuff now gets tacked on? Its a shame that such an epic game appears to have made an epic fail but I'm still playing and will continue to do so. Will I fork out for DLC? Depends how much content is put in. I'm not paying 30 quid to just have a few more story missions. A LOT of stuff needs adding/fixing for me to empty my wallet on this game again.

Lol of course everyone is going to want free DLC this will mean nothing to Bungie
