Yay! And, er, Oh ...

Returned to The Crucible for a couple of matches today but only served to confirm two things: 1) If you don't have an auto-rifle, go home and 2) I suck! Seriously, I was being one-shotted by everyone and their mother whilst I was struggling to take down people's shields never mind health. BUT - I did net a single Legendary Primary Weapon Engram. Woo-hoo! This should be good, right? Took it to The Cryptarch and got ... the "MIDA Multi Tool Scout Rifle" - yup, it decrypted EXOTIC! Sweet ... or so I thought ... I gotta say, the weapon looks cool but it's absolutely rubbish! Enemies I was one-shotting with my hand cannon take 2 or 3 to go down ... and it only does about 220 Precision Damage which is actually less than my rare scout rifle ... gonna try and level it up to see if that helps but very disappointed. I reckon it needs about double the impact it has but no upgrades change that so I'm not holding my breath ... generally speaking I've enjoyed the game and tried not to moan too much but Bungie really under-cooked it with this one. :(

  • I think Auto Rifles are definitely easier to use in the Crucible but I've found that if you can get a decent Pulse Rifle or Hand Cannon you can do pretty well. I've also found that the Fusion Rifle rarely leaves my hand on the tight levels. I can regularly get 20-30 kills on these levels. Moon is also great for sniping, so make sure you have a good one for back up. I've always found Scout Rifles the hardest to use in the Crucible.
