I would sooner eat a animal then -blam!- a person, this is going to make me sound like a dick but, it is a fairly unintelligent being, and I have no emotional connection for animals that are bred to be eaten, so I have little reason to care unless the animal is being mistreated, which many are and I am aware of that. if people ate dogs I would be against that because I have 2 myself and have a actual emotional connection to them, even if they are dumb, but a close to mindless being isn't going to do much apart from eat grass. if I can bond with something I will be against harm coming to something of its kind unless it asked for it ( attacked someone / something ) a cow can't make me feel bad for it unless I see it in extreme pain and suffering. when's the last time you've heard of someone going to the park with there cow, teaching their cow a new trick, or even just getting the damn thing to come up to you. this will be the last time I state this: unless it's human or something that I have a bond with, Is being miss treated or is suffering, I don't care what happens to it. inb4 I'm called an idiot or insulted in some manner.

Actually pigs are smarter than dogs, at the age of three, they're even smarter than men. Actually I know people who take their pig out for a walk and it IS possible to learn them tricks.
