I find it annoying. I want to kill all the enemies along the way. More chance of drops etc. it's a game based around killing shit. If you don't want to kill shit then why are you even playing?
Im L29, and I did the strikes a lot too, still enjoy killing shit. Don't like people making decisions for me. I just leave now if people do it. Then they can 2 man it and take longer than if you just killed everything as 3.
In all honesty, skipping stuff saves little time anyway. If you are high level. Just another legacy of the 'go go go' era of child gamers that think they are more important than anyone else.

BrillIant post mate. Not only are we not talking about patrol areas, engrams drop from any mobs and are not level specific. So you get just as much drop chance of usable loot from mobs on strikes as mobs on patrol. Nice try though. Anyone else going to jump in and waffle crap trying to justify skipping content that takes no time to just kill anyway?
-
its a game made for playing and having fun so realy speed running is justified based on if you think it is more fun or not. Personaly i like it because you can easily become trapped if you make a wrong turn or a small mistake, whereas if you force your way through by killing everything it can become borring quickly due to the lack of risk.
-
See now this is a good reply. Regardless of what was said earlier, I respect the fact you have given a decent answer. I understand what you mean in your comment to a certain extent and I think everyone is getting a bit bored with the game at the moment. I made my viewpoint clear here from the beginning and then people started popping up trying to justify skipping. Just give your opinion like a human being. No need to be a dickhead about it. If all the passive aggressive douchebags had reined it in, the thread wouldn't have descended into a flaming match.
-
yeah you were kind of ganged up on. sorry i jumped on the train, but i dont want anyone getting labeled a bad player for simply enjoying their time in game which is what the guy at the top said he was hoping for and i got caried away.
-
Yeah I don't agree with everything he said in the op, such as reporting people etc.
-
You are so very angry. There is a difference in lvl of loot drop. I'll stick to fighting the lvl 24s whilst you play pattycake with the low level baddies, mate.
-
Edited by ObiesoTheGreat: 10/5/2014 6:12:17 PMyeh, their isnt a difference in the drops based on level.
-
No there is not, hard light auto rifle from a level eight mob.
-
It's called sarcasm mate. If you took it as anger that's your problem not mine. I wasn't talking about patrol mobs, I am talking actual groups of enemies from the strike itself. And you are wrong, loot is not level tied to the mobs you kill. A blue engram decodes into an item for the level you are when you decode it. How can you not know this, yet comment so arrogantly on threads? As I said, brilliant!
-
A blue from patrols decrypt to levels 16 for me. Don't be mad bro. Its just a game bro.
-
And just to clarify, blue engrams decode into anything L16-20 when you are L20. Regardless where they drop. Unless they are legendary, and then they can only be L20 legendary or exotic. You are welcome.
-
Wow......you are slow. And mad. Dont be mad. Here the point: it's adorable when people like you attempt to tell anyone how to play a game they bought. Also you mom is the real gift that keeps on giving. *drops mike again*
-
Who's Mike? You can't even get that right. Lol.
-
Your face isn't right. *drops your mom off after a nice sushi dinner*
-
You mad bro? Ha ha
-
Only that your mom isn't a little thinner.
she is fat
-
I have about 165 hours played. You have made my point for me. You are crying complaining and attempting to justify "punishment" (by not respawning someone, ha adorable) over level 16-20 gear. Deal with it or dont, no one cares *drops mike*
-
Wow, you are like a gift that keeps on giving. L16-20 blues? Erm unless a legendary engram drops right? Is that what you meant? No, didn't think so. You played 165 hours apparently, I explained the loot twice, and you still don't get it. Classic. When you hit L20 it will become clearer. Don't be mad bro. Oh and next time you start trash talking about getting mad, make sure you have the knowledge to back it up and not get mad yourself. You quite obviously haven't, yet quite obviously are. Enjoy!
-
You need to play more. So you are saying that a blue engram that drops from L3 mobs is levelled to them, when it then gives you L16-20 loot? Lol? I'm not mad mate, this is hilarious. So maybe if a patrol mob dropped a purple engram, would you be worried it might turn I to a L16 legendary? Ha ha. You are funny. Engrams are engrams, no matter who they drop from. You decode them for your level not where they drop. Like I said earlier, nice try. Love it when people are blatantly wrong but just can't let it go.
-
Yeah I got a legendary scout rifle last night night from a blue engram.
-
I think if you want drops, then playing Strikes is the wrong thing to do. Strikes are for people who want to get their Vanguard Marks quickly, and get their guaranteed gear at the end of a Strike. I already got more Legendary drops from playing casually on Patrols, doing my Bounties. I don't want to waste 30 minutes on Strikes, in hopes that some random mob will drop something decent. I'm playing it for the guaranteed reward, not the random loot drop chance.
-
Each to their own. 100 vanguards marks takes no time at all. Sometimes I just like to run strikes. I can't believe how many people are trying to justify skipping content, like it really saves any time for 3 x L29ish players.
-
"To each their own" - You. So just quit your crying kiddo
-
Great comment. Added absolutely nothing, seeing as myself and others already said the same shit. I am not crying, it's all the people trying to justify skipping half a strike that seem to be crying. Makes me laugh son.
