there were mission names in the screen, and bungie verified that in fact, the expansions are on the disc. there are a lot of fans that feel alienated and cheated, myself included. I really don't want to see this game be quickly forgotten, but you've gotta admit that we didn't get our moneys' worth for this title. as someone said, they spent 500 million on this game. And I think I know where their budget didn't go. I agree, i hope that this game becomes the best game ever or all time. but I honestly think that if they don't save it soon, it's going to die before december.

  • I do find myself doing the same things over and over but when I contemplate playing another game I just can't. I think the game we have so far is a very solid foundation. Many people who feel cheated refuse to play pvp and really if you don't play all of this game then you shouldn't really complain about content. Not having a go at you bro just the community in general.

  • thats fine, i recognize that. i can't play in the crucible, strikes or raids because i don't have xbox live gold, or enough time/confidence in my abilities to play competitively in order to justify it. needless to say, however, you're right, we do have a good foundation. but I just feel like we were promised so much more than what we ended up getting. and apparently someone from Bungie said that hunch is right, that this game really is only a shadow of its former self. Halo 2 was also an unfinished game, and Bungie's greatest game ever. a good mmo is never done. Destiny has the benefits and problems of both genres, and even though we're just getting started, i don't want to complete every mission in the game at lv 20 and 15 or so hours of gameplay. it just doesn't feel right at all.

You never played the strikes? They are the best pve missions apart from the raid. I get where your original post was coming from now. You really need to get that subscription, your missing most of the game.

  • I may, when i get the money for it, and I'm certainly looking forward to it. but even though I'm still missing a chunk of the fun, I'd have to pay 160 bucks total to "get everything out of" this game. no, i'm not comfortable paying all of that, but the part of the game you don't have to pay extra for is still lacking. my position, i suppose isn't just a "me versus destiny" position, but also a position of "me versus our current gaming culture", where we're okay with literally paying hundreds of dollars to corporations for stuff that's not even complete. some people like that culture, not bashin on them. not gonna say they can't do that, but i just wanted to say from the start that if they're gonna do that, at least finish the damn thing first. I see it the same way as if Bungie made some missions in Halo 3 subscription-only, or just released the first four missions of it and had the rest as DLC. but Halo isn't Destiny, it's more like Halo and Skyrim had a lovechild with Borderlands that developed a fixation on time-traveling space robots that would give the doctor the heebie jeebies, and space magic. what's your favorite strike so far?
