I get the whole one weak link can cause a team to fail and such, but honestly Destiny NEEDS to add matchmaking to the Raids and Weekly Strikes. It just makes everything easier not to mention actually playable for some people as not every has the time to build up this heroic strategic all-star team. Many people are already using methods such as websites or just the game itself to team up with random people just for an attempt at the raid or weekly strike. I am personally one of those who are just trying to find some people to do a weekly strike or a raid with, and although I haven't exactly been trying to do this for very long I haven't had much success as I have yet to even have one attempt at either of the two so it's not exactly a great alternative. That being said not being able to participate in the Weekly Strike or a Raid also means when such events as The Iron Banner become available and PvP gear level advantages are enabled many people will feel left out or frustrated that it'll be pretty much impossible for them to even attempt to compete with the "Destiny All-Star Players" that team up and have the best gear just due to the fact that they can participate in a Raid or Strike. Another good point is the Vault of Glass supports up to six players in a fireteam, but think of it this way if matchmaking is added and six players are randomly put together there's a good chance that at least two out of six players will actually be in a fireteam together rather than it just being six lone wolves. With one third of the fireteam being teamed up and able to communicate there's is a good chance of them at least being able to keep each other alive. Then you have to take in to account that even if it was six lone wolves it takes only one of them to make a party chat and invite the other five to it and tada you have a communicating team or at least a partial communicating team. The community is screaming out for matchmaking to be added to the game and I think it's time Bungie to answer the community and add in an option for matchmaking to the raids and weekly strikes. Furthermore if Bungie does not add this feature in to Destiny I can't say I will be playing it much longer myself and I already know of people a few who have already moved on.
