The Topic
Draw a character from any show/movie/book/comic/game you liked as a child, bonus points for humor or satire.
Deadline
All submissions must be made in this thread before November First 11/1/2014.
First Place Prize
A $25 Gift code
Second Place Prize
A $15 Gift code
Third Place Prize
TBD
More prizes will be announced if I can find sponsors.
Rules *important to read*
All forms of visual art, including videos, are allowed. Please link your image in a comment on this thread, submissions by private message will be disqualified, it's hard to keep track of who submitted what when I need to go way back into my PM history. 1 submission per user. You CAN have multiple images in one "image" :)
If you used photomanipulation/Base-Layer references, please credit your sources in your submission comment. I cannot stress this enough, I have been forced to disqualify good art in the older contests because the artists neglected to credit other people/companies.
All submissions must be Safe For Work, I don’t want any hammers hitting this thread.
Also, I do not own the work that you submit, I’m not buying it in any way by giving you a prize, it belongs entirely to you and maybe to the company who owns the character you created, not me.
I’m just a host :)
Judges:
OutHouse
Jinogre “Yasunowo”
Progo
A super secret group of art fanatics who paint by the light of the moon.
Best of luck to all contestants,

P.S. all skill levels are welcome, these art contests exist to encourage aspiring artists to break out a pencil and paper and get practice.

Edited by Rhynerd: 10/31/2014 9:42:40 PMBam! Here it is! I was introduced to the action-packed expense accounts of Johnny dollar in middle school when my dad found out that his Sirius radio had a channel for old radio shows. Many drives home involved listening to an episode of the show. For a week or so I noticed a pattern though... for some reason he was suddenly being beat up by thugs in an alley for some reason involving the case episodically. This picture lightly plays on that joke. I based Johnny off of the person who played him in the revival, Bob Bailey.
