I have been having consistent errors with remaining in story missions if I'm part of a fireteam with friends. I keep getting kicked with various errors. GOPHER, JELLYFISH, FLY, CATTLE, VULTURE, all at different times. I have my system plugged directly into my router and I've got Fios, so I doubt it's my connection speed, and I have a moderate NAT. Plus, I remain connected to XBL and in a party without interruption throughout.
The friends I'm trying to play with are playing the game off a disc and have no connection issues at all, which is why I'm not sure if it's something to do with playing a digital version of the game. I've tried a hard reset of my system, resetting my router, I don't know if deleting and re-installing the game will make any kind of difference. It sucks though, I get kicked 10-15 times per hour at least if I try to join a friends fireteam and it's making the game nearly unplayable. Any suggestions or help would be much appreciated.

Edited by SGT FURY: 10/5/2014 6:20:13 PMAs other people have mentioned, you need an open NAT. I find my Xbox One can switch from Open to Moderate to Strict with zero changes to my router on a wired connection. This almost always happens if I use my 360 before using my Xbox One. How I fix this is to minimize Destiny and use the menu button to quit it. Then I go to network settings and run the multiplayer test. It will probably say that everything is good. Don't continue, instead hold down the two triggers and the two bumpers that will then launch a slightly different version of the Detailed Network Statistics. In the right column under Detailed NAT information it will say "Getting info...", wait until it is done. You want it to say "Your network is behind a cone NAT", if you get anything else hold down the power button on the console until it shuts off. Wait until the light on the power brick turns orange, then unplug the power from the power brick until the orange light turns off. Plug the power back in and redo the steps above. If you keep repeating the steps and can't get the "behind a cone NAT" message, then you might want to look at your router settings and try some of the Bungie network or Xbox Live troubleshooting tips. You might want to also consider trying a different router or putting a different firmware on it (like DD-WRT).
