Those increases in chances are in the end game roll, not the drop rate from enemies. It only seems like you get more drops from the level 24 strike because there are more enemies in a shorter time. I get the same number of rare drops in the level 8 strike than I do in the Tiger Strike. And if he turns out to be right that the drop rate increases for higher level strike mobs, then what difference does speed running through it matter? Nearly every single one except the Moon strike require you to kill all the enemies to progress. The twenty extra on the way to the strike start don't matter.

to clarify, I wasn't specifying whether it was because of the strike level or just being a strike at all, but when I play strikes I definitely notice more drops (though it's arguable how much of a difference it makes if you find an area with higher spawn density I guess) And actually there are quite a few areas in most strikes that you can just ignore enemies and pass through, even the to-level areas.
