When they live in the wild and they reproduce too much, they don't have enough food anymore and alot of them die, than they start reproducing again, this keeps happening, 'till they're stable.
But probably these animals can't even survive in the wild, they aren't bred for that, it's like letting a dog live in the wild, most of them just die, they will never overpopulate.
