Great suggestion! Also, on the subject of Patrol Missions... Could Bungie look at introducing some more involved, dynamic content to keep things fresh, maybe? I’m not just talking the mission types you have now, but things such as: • Stealth missions – Sneak into an enemy area to retrieve an item or kill a character. Similar to the current missions, but you get a bonus if you do it without raising an alert level or something along those lines, to encourage a different play style. • Transport missions – You have to get from point A to point B on your Sparrow in a certain amount of time, dodging or destroying enemy pursuit forces along the way. Do you have time to stop and ambush your pursuers, or have you just got to race as quickly as you can, avoiding their fire? • Ambush scenarios – The first stage is that you have to invite at least one other person to your fireteam. (optional, but rewarded for doing this, rather than playing it solo) Then, you both make your way to a designated zone to set up an ambush on an enemy patrol/convoy/drop-ship who are guarding guaranteed goods (legendary materials or a chance for a legendary weapon/armour) Forcing a drop-ship to set down (by destroying its weapons, so it lands rather than flees) so you could raid it and get the goods would be highly satisfying. Also, on top of more mission variety, the chance for more pro-active enemies to spawn, to put you on the defensive some times would really mix things up. You could be happily sniping some helpless mob of Fallen when a drop-ship warps in to attack you (called in by the group you’re attacking?) or you could walk into a sniper ambush in certain areas (ravines, canyons and other places with natural high points) Finally, random or semi-random enemy spawns would make patrols less formulaic. As it stands, the same enemies spawn in the same place every time. For example; the area on the moon, with the circular observation tower and a structure just behind it. Every time you turn up there you know there are 2 Dregs in the tower, a Servitor on the structure, surrounded by a few Dregs, Shanks, Vandals and a Captain. (if you know where I mean then it highlights the problem) What if you turned up there and there was a Spider Tank sat waiting for unsuspecting passers-by? Or a battle between Hive and Fallen in full flow. Or if the entire area was empty but then you ran into a roaming patrol a short walk away, who were heading back there. As it is, it feels like the enemies spawn purely for you to shoot at. It should feel as if they exist and go about their business with or without you being there.
