You were agreeing with a guy that stated lvl 24 stike mobs give a better chance to drop... Then you come back and say oh yea well RNG is RNG, make up your mind. Also you killing all of those guys while they power through it gives them a chance to get a drop as well... It will get mailed to them, so just because you got drops doesn't mean they didn't.
I kill most of the mobs in strikes, except when I was running the Nexus for Bad JuJu 25 times over. I also realize that me killing them gives me the same chance killing a level 2 dreg does for a drop, there is no slightly better chance, all enemies have the same chance. Yes killing more enemies does inherently give you a better chance at drops. At the same time, not everyone in those strikes need the gear that "could" drop from enemies. They want marks for guaranteed legendaries.
As an example, I got a legendary primary weapon to drop in a strike, sweet right? Well after a quick decrypt, it turned out to be Bad Seed Down, this is my THIRD one, I don't want or need it. RNG strikes again. So why gamble with drops when I can go and buy Shadow Price after powering through some strikes? If I get any legendary to drop besides weapons, they are almost guaranteed to be sharded, as I have the gear already and yes 2-3 ascendant materials is nice, however I am not really hurting for them. I'm at the point where I want specific items.
The only guarantee in lvl 24 strikes are for completing it, in the form of some random engrams, marks, and rep.
