With the addition of Engrams as rewards, you're now 100% incorrect.
Statistically speaking, IE if you actually do the math, you get more engrams from the mission reward than if you kill everything.
Case in point, yesterday I got 12 engrams (Not counting Greens). Did 4 strikes. Had 1 blue engram drop in the strike. The rest were rewards.
Had a total of 37 engrams.
15 green. 10 blue. 2 purple.
2 legendary engrams were rewards. 9 blue were rewards. 15 green dropped in the mission. 1 blue dropped in the mission.
If you want to farm for greens, do it on your own time.

Yeah, I get 2-5 blues at the end of a strike now. I'd much rather run through, kill what I HAVE to, kill the boss, do my 3-4 strikes, be full on engrams and go back to the tower. I also got Plan C from a reward for doing a 24 Strike and the day after the patch a buddy got Hardlight from the rewards too. Soooo

Exactly...I got the Comedian the other night -- It was a horrible roll for a Comedian but, it was still nice to get a legendary!

It's simple math. You have a 10% CHANCE to get an engram. Of that CHANCE, maybe 10% is a legendary. So, you actually have less than a % of a chance to get a legendary. Maybe a 2% chance to get a rare. Farming that entire area and taking 10m to do so out of a 30m total mission, is actually wasting my time considering I have 2 guaranteed blue Engrams at the end of the strike... I really don't comprehend why that's such a hard concept to understand. It's chance vs. a guarantee...

See this guy gets it.
