I'll proudly declare that I race through the trash Mobs to get to the higher level ones. The entire reason to be doing strikes is lucky loot drops, bounties, marks, and rep. By skipping the trash your making the grind shorter. No one wants the 20 min strike run they've run over and over to take 40 mins because people want to kill every single lvl 8 mob they see.

 • This is exactly what the OP was suggesting that you not do. By skipping the "trash" mobs you are skipping potential drops. The mob level has nothing to do what what it drops. A buddy of mine was farming public events in the Cosmodrome with me and he killed a level 2 Dreg. Dropped a Legendary Engram and got Gjallahorn from it. That's "trash". You need to reevaluate your logic.

 • If I want to farm lvl 8s for legendarys I'd do patrols. The main reason for strikes are marks and rep Everything else is extra and random
