57. Main Story Altering Events (take up to a month or two) (everyone's involved and helps affect the game. I figure this one will need clarification.) Here's an idea on elaboration, pieced together from other person's ideas. For instance a one month war period. The outcomes of that war shape the writing for future content. Kind of like choose your own adventure, except we really need to fight to make it happen. And there are no gaurantees. Picture this: A mythical item, lets call it an obelisk, shows up on the moon. Guardians take up to investigate and fall upon a Vex vs Hive massive onslaught. Guardians, Vex, and Hive are all clamouring for this obelisk. Something is very interesting about that thing. There would be several campaign modes on this too that could be done. For instance, crack teams of Guardians can perform strikes to take out specific targets and advance forces closer to the obelisk. Guardians would also be caught in the middle of a large public event with Vex and Hive pouring into a battle field in droves. Besides reaching the mythical obelisk, there would be multiple mission objectives to this? Killing enemy generals? Controlling specific areas? After the period this all out war is finished, the story is forever changed by the outcomes of the missions. Did the Guardians obtain the obelisk? Did it fall into Vex hands? Did it get it nuked by a drop ship? This I think would be a fun way for the community to shape the outcome of the game. Much more fun than bitching about it on the forums. Of course, this is all probably wishful thinking as i'd gander there does not currently exist the right programming to support this kind of group activity. But still, it would be freaking awesome.
