Is there a book on all of the lore, or can I only find it in the books and games?

That would be the Halo Bible, but only 343i has access to that. The closest thing to that is if you were to buy the Halo: Encyclopedia (c. 2011), Halo: Essential Visual Guide, and Halo 4: Essential Visual Guide Even then though, you won't have it all. A lot of the lore is defined by context, or has yet to be featured in a book like the Visual Guides.
