Lol. I love this post. I agree to a degree, but someone forgot to tell Bungie that you still occasionally need to actually put a treat in the treat ball once in a while to keep us lab rats interested. I've received a whopping one exotic from a strike reward. Everything else, legendary or exotic, I have either earned through a nightmarish bounty or purchased. Of course there was my first Nightfall this week, which awarded me with an exotic helmet I already had. It quickly became shards.

  • You're both right, as I pointed out in other posts though, we wouldn't be talking about any of this if there were more things to earn/win in the first place. One legendary engram for 20 hours of gameplay, which then turns into ass shards, is not enough to get people to continue like lab rats. But the alternative is to up the rates, and then everyone gets bored because there's only like 3 exotic helms for each class, for example. So Bungie is left trying to convince people that this fence painting is exciting enough to keep us playing until the next money grab. They're lucky they did the shooting stuff well, cause for an MMO/RPG/loot game, the content for all 3 of those genres is severely lacking.

  • Well I did say that would be the case if the loot system were working optimally. ;)

  • You did indeed. I stand corrected.
