Starred this. So true, when I get a group without any "runners" I usually get between 3-6 *rare* engrams BEFORE the reward at the end. I don't mind people flying past the low level mobs, hell I do that, but then when they go ahead and skip everything else as well... Shits have been flipped.

Rare* sorry xD I wish I was getting legendaries like that xD But I've had decent look with my rare weapon engrams going legendary, not so much the armor. Funny part is I am continually getting the zombie apocalypse LMG. Had about 4 before I decided to scrap most of them --edited my original comment--

  • thats what I figured. I typically get 2-4 a mission while rushing though, I just dont see the merit in wasting time when you know you are getting some at the end and the faster you go the faster you get more guarenteed.

  • Because, knucklehead, I get ENCRYPTED blues during the mission which nets me cryptarch XP, whereas the boss gets me decrytpted blues. I don't need any more -blam!-ing weapon parts or plasteel, 500+ on both.

  • But killing mob in then general mission and killing a mob in the boss area both give the same chance of engrams. So put simply, the more mobs you kill, the higher your chance of getting engrams. it takes an extra 5 minutes, and you will almost surely get rare engrams, and if you're lucky, you might get a legendary. why not kill them? It just increases your chance of engrams

  • These brainiacs don't get it, they think that racing ahead and getting 1-2 blues for killing the boss is better than getting 4-5 blues throughout the mission. RNG is only applicable if you actually KILL shit, not drive by them.

  • You are not understanding, you are guarenteed nothing and rely on random chance to get your engrams, then go out in a mission by yourself or with friends or patrol and kill mobs by the dozen to farm them. When doing a striek people want the marks, rep, and end rewards and they want it fast, the more done the faster the more you get in the long run of it hands down.

  • The tiger playlist drop rates are higher than in patrol or general play though, must be a different rng on it, but I've received more on the few I've done to all the other strikes or missions.

  • I am understanding that you fail to understand, that the only real way to play the RNG in your favor at higher levels is to play the Tiger playlist. And to do so, you have to kill, not drive by on your speeder. Sure I could play the Wombat level or whatever the lowest strike playlist is, but I get noticeably less blues and more greens. After doing the weekly, nightfall, and a strikes my marks are damn near full. Perhaps if you challenged yourself more you'd get marks quicker. Christ, I'm usually full on marks by Wednesday, and that's with working all day every day. Do the nightfall first, then weekly on max, then daily on max, then clean up with Tiger. But I guess your ilk is good with just racing to the end to dump lead into a bullet sponge for the chance of getting two shit blues that are already decrypted. Can't fix stupid. That's why when I see you twats race ahead or find a corner and camp, I go to orbit.

  • You do not get more due to the playlist, you are using confirmation bias to make your judgement. You get engrams fomr everything at the rate of random. Please though continue to attack my character rather then the argument, I too get my marks increadably fast but you know, part of that comes from playing a bunch of strike over and over due to the good rewards I recieve from playing them and playing them fast. Rushing through means you kill what is neccessary and nothing else, or little else. You get plenty of drops on the way to the boss doing this as well as the end and you get through many more. If you want a better idea, get some people of both play styles to record themselves and see how the drops fair, but I'll tell you, you don't need a strike to farm mobs and you are only slowing others down who want to complete the strike. You make so many assumptions but only show your own trerrible nature in the end.

  • My own terrible nature he says... because I refuse to put up with people who race to the end just to do it all over? I'm sorry, have you been working on bounties that require you NOT to die on a strike only to have a random public scrub do a TPK because he ran to the end and it brought the whole team up? Or Working on 9000xp without dying and the same thing happen? Yeah... -blam!- you and your kind. I do get more blue than green drops dependent on playlist difficulty. I would argue that the difficulty of opponent according to your character does in fact change the RNG tables. I don't sit around and farm the WT mobs that are level 8 outside of the strike, but I kill every lvl 24 and above I can find, and I shoot them all until they are dead. Because you never know when that purple orb will shoot out of his ass.
