(Edited) Absolute proof Iron Banner is complete bullsh*t!
I was making a new warlock and got through the 4th mission or so. I was level 4 with my friends who are all high level like my main. I decided to test Iron Banner because last night I really didn't see much of a difference playing with my lvl 30, it felt like regular crucible. So I joined up with my friends to play some Iron Banner. I was expecting to walk in and get one shotted with an ankle shot, instead I was baffled at what happened. Watch the video, and let me know what you think.

9 RepliesWow a level 5 was able to play a good match against a bunch of chumps. The game must be broken. Iron banner is a sham. Bungie is a front for the Illumnati.

Part of it is likely the general relationship between Attack and damage - specifically, that Attack can't actually increase your damage; the real effect of Attack is to [i]prevent your damage from being reduced[/i]. So having a higher Attack is increasing the damage you deal, but only to a point. Or, in other words, "working as intended" may not look like you think it does.

3 RepliesEdited by KRNLPUD 101: 10/9/2014 2:22:57 AMYup I saw no difference in the iron banner, im a level 27 warlock and I have killed plenty of people with my shingen e when they had the suros regime, but it all matters on how you play and if you get the drop on them, because iv also been owned by the exotic guns as well, but this iron banner where ur armor and guns matter, this guy should have been shooting airsoft bb's at them and should have been getting killed by stray bullets from all the upper levels, but I guess bungie will keep feeding us lies till the end, just like they did with this recent patch that was suppose to fix the KTO issues with the servers, but I guess that was a lie as well, instead they gave more people KTO issues when they did not have those issues to begin with.

Edited by aceslayer135: 10/9/2014 3:50:17 AMfrom what I see YAH you did really well but its not like you went in head first and tried to actually get kills heads up. you have mad skills to do that but realistically if some noob kid or any player that does not have any skills was to try to do what you just did and get a substantial amount of kills with out strategy then I could see it broken. But with those skills of course that would be expected results.

Iron Banner is bullsh*t. It's exactly like regular Crucible. There's no change. There is no "no restriction" for high level Guardians with their gear and abilities.

Yeah I was playing today and was getting tore up by some lvl 15s and 17s with rare rifles. Now I'm the first to admit that I'm mediocre at PvP but I was at least expecting to eat some faces with red death and suros regime. Getting mowed down by skilled level 30s with mythoclasts would be less demoralizing than sub 20s with max rof autorifles. Was not impressed.

Also like to add that the people he was fighting missed ALOT...they sucked in PvP. Just like Deej said...you need skill aswell. I notice i kill people alot faster in iron banner than i do on reguler crucible

I never wanted to do it as I could of thought, level advantage, him, means level 30 versus level 20+ people only as anyone else in their right mind wouldn't be able to win, they wouldn't/couldn't play it as if you can't kill anyone that is high level, is there any reason a low level would play it? Seriously, so that means only level 25 through 30 players would play it & it would just be the same as the crucible, so you need some leeway. Granted this was a little much leeway for level 4 kicking butt, but hey its bungie. they learn by listening, not by being expected.

11 RepliesYou're camping. They're trying to play the circle cap game and you're standing off to the side killing them. You also have support from friends who are drawing their attention. And you're using cover. Beside's its been tested. The only difference exotic and legendary gear makes are the perks associated with them and being able to hit the top tier dps. Which surprisingly isn't that far off the floor.

Because you don't seem to have noticed i'll break it down for you. 1. you're playing against scrubs. even the -blam!- shooting at you directly rarely hit you with a bullet. 2. your kill times are 3x longer than they would be with a lvl 27+ using an exotic primary or even legendary of any weapon class. it should be fairly obvious considering that you have to reload and use additional bullets in each magazine to get 1 kill when any legendary or exotic and you being the appropriate level you'd be able to get 3-5 kills per magazine. You just got in a really shitty lobby as a above average fps player. I can promise you that wouldn't happen in any of the lobbies i have been in. I can promise it wouldn't happen i was your opponent.

2 RepliesIron Banner works exactly like doing the moon strike. Ever notice how low level enemies damage you almost as much as higher level ones? Because in Destiny, when you out level someone, the damage they do to you doesn't change, but you do way more damage. Example: unfortunately I don't have a screenshot, since I didn't know I'd have to point this out, but I two shotted a level 2 in Iron Banner yesterday (2 shots to the body) with a blue hand cannon. However, when he went to melee me, he still did almost regular melee damage. That's what Deej means by taking skill, yet the level advantage exists. They do that so you can still easily solo low level content, but you can't steam role.
