(Edited) Absolute proof Iron Banner is complete bullsh*t!
I was making a new warlock and got through the 4th mission or so. I was level 4 with my friends who are all high level like my main. I decided to test Iron Banner because last night I really didn't see much of a difference playing with my lvl 30, it felt like regular crucible. So I joined up with my friends to play some Iron Banner. I was expecting to walk in and get one shotted with an ankle shot, instead I was baffled at what happened. Watch the video, and let me know what you think.

i think it would be even more proof if you weren't using an auto rifle. Good point though. I don't think bungie really "lied". I think they just effed up the game design. Even as it stands, there is quite literally NO POINT to playing the IB. You get the same shit rewards, and ranking up means you can now buy gear thats way weaker than your current.

Thanks for the video. Only one problem: the guys you were playing were [i]not[/i] very good at all, and they rarely ever challenged you directly. The vast majority of the time you were fighting, it was with teammates watching your back, and the enemy almost never outnumbered you. You also seem to be a rather good player; your aim was usually dead on and you were strafing well, making it even harder for those scrubs to kill you. These reasons would seem to be why you weren't just instantly cleaned up in every engagement. When you [i]did[/i] go head to head with a guy, you normally took some moderate to heavy damage. That said... I can't believe how much damage your gun was still doing to your enemies. Literally the worst gun in the game (by stats) only takes about a second longer to kill a level 25+ than your average high-level AR. No way should a gun you get in the first two minutes of the game be able to cut through level 25+ armor that quickly. Definitive? No. Highly persuasive? Yes.

I understand the concern but if I could mow people down like a demonic killing machine I'd be laughing 24/7. Boo hoo your too darn good at this game ( and probably every other FPS out there).

Glad to know that all our levels, weapons, and armor really do matter as little as it seems like they do. I don't know if it's fair to say that we were lied too, since no explicit information was published on how enabling level advantages would impact the pvp experience. However, the advertisements and event descriptions for Iron Banner were definitely EXTREMELY MISLEADING. They were written to make it seem like all the time we've invested in our characters would actually make a significant difference in the advantages enabled game mode, and it's very disappointing to me that this is not the case. Again, awesome video! Thank you for sharing with everyone!

Couple things: 1.) That loot system though 2.) Bro you got some mad skills! Well played, you just outclassed the other team though. 3.) It is crazy to thing a level 5 can do this is Iron Banner. To prove your point, you used the FIRST AR you get in the game. 4.) I doubt this problem will get addressed anyway. Stinks because we are told to "bring your best gear" but you do not need to in order to wipe face.

Meaning, provided both examples have equal gear, a level 26 player can be no more effective against level 5 enemies than a level 7 can. From what we see here, I'd say it's safe to assume Iron Banner works the same way. I watched carefully and the other guys could take you out with just a few lucky bullets to any spot on your body, but you needed several headshots to get rid of them. They were more deadly than you were, statistically, but that capped kept it so that your armor and bullets weren't [i]totally[/i] made of paper. It's not that the level differences weren't there, their full effectiveness was just capped. The differences do appear somewhat minimal. This is probably something that they would consider revising with enough (level-headed) support

Thank you for the video, the damage numbers were very illuminating because of the level gap. Do note that there was a damage difference. A Grim Citizen or Galahad-E with the same Impact will do 24/32 at the damage cap in Iron Banner (same as normal Crucible). You were doing 19/28. ...not that it matters. Seriously? That's it? A Level 4 takes maybe ONE more bullet to kill a Level 30 than said Level 30 takes to kill a Level 4? ONE. And that's with an Auto Rifle. Most semi automatic weapons kill the exact same number of shots, probably. Do Level 30s have more health than Level 4s or something? Any advantage other than that? If not... complete fail on Bungie's part. Not that I care. Every lobby I'm in is full Level 26-30 with maybe one Level 20. Even with advantages actually making a difference I'd only have a slight advantage.

I'm right there to, I tested my lvl 3 warlock earlier today and destroyed with a lvl 1 shotgun. Then my universal remote fully maxed on my 29 doesn't kill anyone .. Yay....
