Oh boy! A level 4 Warlock can kill me, a level 29 because of his SKILL? That is utter bull. A level 1 autorifle should not do that much damage to a level 29 with 1300+ defense. This just sounds like a way of saying "We know it's broke, so we are going to give you a bullshit excuse to make it seem like it isn't broke". Sorry. Bungie, but this was yet another poorly executed event that gives little reward for too much effort.

Maybe defense is like every other stat in the game like say strength(the raw number is generally meaningless and what matters is the percentage behind it),and after a certain point has diminishing returns?

Edited by S001-PRIMAL: 10/9/2014 3:39:53 PMwhere are the rewards for getting a positive KD on iron banner? why is it that people below level 20 can one hit kill me with any shotgun at medium range? where are the rewards for winning matches? why am i a level 27 warlock and hunter and only receiving blues and repetitions of legendaries (i got 2 since the crappy patch)? why do i get level 16 or lower equipment when i get a crappy blue engram? you said in a video that we are going to get loot according to our characters and their stats. you also said in an interview with 2old2play during the iron banner beta that the goal of the event is to figure out its flaws. you pointed out during the end of one of the matches played that its a problem that someone who did poorly got a legendary award during the interview and it needs to be fixed. why must i dedicate my life to iron banner to go from level 1 to 2 without getting anything good from matches. also what is with the delay when you kill someone on ANY game mode? its already Thursday. the event ends next week and i pretty much got nothing good from either event. hell, wtf is with the lack of exotics for me, if someone does terribly they earn it but i need to earn them through bounties?! ive got people with armories of exotics from being bad at the game while i get blues and useless objects for the characters that i want to make. also, where are all the strange coins? i haven't got any from anywhere else but the weekly strike. iron banner is a disappointment compared to the beta. at least in the beta, i got timur's lash.

In PvP, the reward system is random. Why are people still questioning this?

If it were a reward system for doing well, then the good players would end up with all the good stuff whilst the poor players lost out. That is unfair. A random award system is the fairest way, and in a game like this, it works.

It should be based on both skill and random, the number 1 guy should get a good prize, then the RNG rolls for everyone else. I'm a terrible PvP'er and I still think the current system is unfair.

that's the best part about it, we arnt talking about crucible, we are talking about iron banner. this game mode is suppose to reward those who are skilled and good, if you want random fine, crucible is the way to go. iron banner isn't suppose to be for low leveled players and on top of that it isn't suppose to be giving useless blues. on top of that its random everywhere, even in story, raids, and strikes.

There is a place where lvl 4's can compete with lvl 30s and have things on or close to the same level. That place is called the crucible. Why make another crucible? Would you expect a level 4 to be able to complete the hard mode raid and kill the lvl 30s easily? No. Then the same damge relationships should exist in the Iron Banner. Enough with the "power matters but so does skill." If I go into Iron banner as a level 4, it should be as impossible as going into hard mode raid.
