I watched the video and I don't think I saw you get one kill where you weren't right next to your high level friend also shooting at the enemy. It looks like you are just getting the lucky last shot in and getting credit for the kill. Finally at around 3:50 you do seem to try and take on a guy looking down out of the building, you hold down the trigger for about 2-3 seconds and you take out his shield and a little bit of his health less than 25% and then you were one shot with a shotgun. At 4:02 you unload your auto-rifle clip for about 4 seconds and you take him down to about 25% health. There does seem to be a difference as it only takes about 1-2 seconds normally to kill someone in crucible with an auto-rifle. It doesn't seem that you can one shot low levels like you might have been expecting but there is a difference.

  • First off my primary is out of VoG 70 round with max rate of fire. And for this guy to kill people regardless of help and the sheer lack of damage he is doing with his weapon is absolutely unacceptable. I can literally burn 70 accurate rounds into someone in IB and see them not die. So to me, it seems like they have the levels backwards. Almost like when you go to a lower level area how your damage is nerfed. Either way wether with healp or not he got the kills and shots broken just like day one.

  • I think, a lvl 5, shouldn't stand a chance against a lvl 15-20-27-29, they shouldn't even wanna go in the iron banner.

He had about 4 unassisted kills against full health enemies. The most obvious one is the one where he kills the guy trying to take the zone in the building, the teammate came so late he didn't even help in killing him. When he was shooting the guy outside of the building, he missed a lot of his shots, was not shooting for anywhere near as long as you said, and was way within range of the shotgun. He didn't kill the guy that came in in one magazine because he missed half of his shots and only had a total of two headshots in that time frame. That wouldn't kill anyone, regardless of weapon or level. EDIT:: rewatched it, he didn't even have two headshots, only one. He probably didn't even have more than 10 bullets connect. He's killing people as fast as I do with my Surrender A, which is my best PvP assault rifle. Whatever level advantage is there, it's so slight it doesn't matter.

  • at 4:02 he starts firing at 4:04 and stops at 4:08 Most of the shots are body shots. The other player wasn't even shooting back so it's not a surprise that the low level ended up beating him. I nice test would be if a team went in and actually had a low level take x number of shots at the body and head to see how many shots it took. Then to have the higher level do the same and see how it compares. To be scientific about it instead of going off of everyone's opinion.

  • It also looks like you are aiming precisely at the head in ALL of your kills (except the one where you resorted to melee), and its taking about 4-5 hits to the head to take them down. If you were using a higher level weapon, you would be killing these guys with one hit. Its headshots and strategy- not a lack in the game. People who are owning the Iron Banner at lower levels are most likely people who are vets at pvp shooters and who have a solid team (of vets aswell, im sure). It honestly looks like you are just showing off, dude. I'm a level 24, and I've been massacred like this by lower levels in the crucible long before Iron Banner, because they played call of duty and other shooters for years before they ever even picked up Destiny. The beauty about this game is that it is also for non-competitive gamers, that can still enjoy it even without as much pvp experience. So of course, we will be in the mix also.. I will give you this- They should have made Iron Banner for difficult for your type of gamer. And it would be good to know how the game matches players. Because frankly- not being a vet- but still a seasoned gamer- I'd like to get some joy after leaving the crucible.

He shud be able to get his shield to 75 % and thats all..

  • So it's working but not to your over-hyped expectations of how you thought it should work. Did everyone seriously think they could just one shot lower level characters and not need any skill to do so?

Including me.. Not afraid to say that. To sum it up, a lvl 30 shud kill a lvl 4 warlock with a couple of shots in IB.

The point is a lvl3 should do like 1-2 damage maybe a shot... Iron banner is control with no rewards for losers.

  • The base weapons do more damage than that. They are not scaling the damage as they do in PVE its strictly the numbers. So if you are used to getting one shot by mobs 2-3 levels above you it's not the same in Iron Banner.

Yet there is no difference... Not scaling the damage? Then how is it supposed to be based on gear? That's the point, it's not.
