Let me rephrase, that improbable. I guess you get points for killing but holding zones should equal a win. Unless Bungie screwed that up too.

There are plenty of videos on YouTube chronicling how you can win a game of control while not capturing a single zone. It's still just death match with bonus points for holding zones. But if you're an effective killer I game, the zones don't matter because the other team is never gaining any points.

The zones just multiply the score you get for each kill, it doesn't give you points over time. It's essentially TDM but has multipliers

In control you get points for kills that are multiplied by how many zones you have. So if you were holding 2 but still lost it means the other team got more than twice as many kills as your team. In other words you're bad.
