When you have over 1200 defence a few shots that do 28/36 damage shouldn't kill in 3 to 4 hits in pvp. There really is NO difference between standard pvp and Iron Banner

Except there is. I've had plenty of instances of there being massive differences. The most obvious example is that a Level 29 Hunter tanked my level 23 Titan's Fist of Havoc when it's normally an instant kill. I've had high level players take a direct hit from a Fusion Rifle or Shotgun at close range and survive, when in the normal Crucible it would've been instant death.
