More politics from Bungie. Your whole "gear matters" marketing barrage turned out to be not true, so now you're adding a caveat "errr, uhh, but skill matters too... Yeah!" Garbage. Just garbage.

  • Power does matter. Skill matters more. Equal skill, better gear? You win.

Misdirection and irrelevant. Under no circumstances should a level 12 be able to kill a level 30 with the same number of shots it takes the level 30 to kill the level 12. This is per Bungie's initial marketing of the event, which, much like the marketing of entire game, turned out to be a lie. And instead of manning up and owning their mistake, these guys are going to spin it like a bunch of dirty, shady politicians.

  • No, it is a matter of assumptions based on experience with other games, as well as a lack of transparency from bungie on what really counts on the gear side of things. What is a guardians base stats? If default defense is 2000, then the difference between 1000 and 500 in gear defense won't be as noticeable as if the base defence is 20, if you understand what i mean. Additionally, there might be different rules on what headshot damage does for each weapon, as in the sniper rifle headshots are one-hit kills no matter what More than that, each guardian has specialisations in armor and recovery. How much or little impact does that have? The guy in the video takes down three people easily, but with the same aim, I would have downed three guardians in less than half the time. That's a pretty big difference. The main issue seems to be that some people here doesn't want people of lower levels to even be able to compete against them, and that having the right gear will make Iron Banner a cakewalk. That's completely ridiculous. The tournament is a tournament, it is there to test you. The stats and perks of your gear are there to enhance your ability to win, but thinking that you should have an easy time taking out an enemy team just because you have been lucky enough to get exotic gear and they haven't is in my opinion stupid. What are the actual Iron Banner differences, and what do you personally wish they were?
