Did anyone actually watch the video or did you all just read the title and ragesplooge everywhere?
Everyone he kills in that game is a -blam!-ing idiot or he lucks out on the 50/50 of killing a guy a teammate is already shooting. He points the guns at heads and leaves them pointing there when firing, and it takes him a long time to kill people when he doesn't have help. You can't die if nobody is shooting back at you, though, so he is afforded the massive time handicap and gets an unimpressive number of kills while playing conservatively and everybody gets to cry fowl.

Yeah that's what my post was addressing. I think there is a difference but not the one people were expecting. I was saying in normal crucible I can do fairly well but there are times in banner when a 30 can completely rock my very existence with their weaponry and gear. Hell I used to have a 2.3 on control until I started banner. I thought maybe it was just in my head when I saw the OP and that I was making up the difference.

Same thing has happened to my k/d so there's definitely a difference. I'm starting to think however that the difference doesn't come as much from levels or differences in attack or defence. I do just as well with my level 14 shingen-e as I do with my Hard Light. I think the increase in difficulty comes from all the best pvp people flocking to iron banner all day instead of worrying about any pve content. Also Since there is such a big reward for winning and barely anything for losing, you get people teaming up more, using communication, and tactics.

This is a pretty busy thread so I didn't see yours, but there are a lot of coordinate teams so it randomly gets really difficult

No, I wasn't trying to say mine addressed the topic. I was simply saying my post agreed. Sorry if it seemed that way. I'm just trying to get the people who are screaming about banner to look at more than one post claiming our similar point.

difference is that people look at what others are using less gear most of the time. I have personally looked uncommon on a lvl 17 should not out do legendary and exotic on lvl 28+

A level 4 shouldn't do full damage against 20+ in iron banner. Simple as that. The reason the kill time isn't as quick is because he's using a low RoF auto, but he's still doing max damage with it. It's broken. All of his damage markers should read ?? or immune and he should be overkilled with a bullet to the ankle.

Good point. I agree. There are clearly level advantages in the Iron Banner. It would be a really bad mode if there was little to no chance for a lower level player to get any sort of joy from the mode. Being higher level should not mean that a player becomes invincible. Your points about people should watch the video and the fact that several kills are multiple people shooting at one guy are totally valid. 2 nights ago I got hammered in the Iron Banner... but did ok last night. I am a Level 26 warlock and a lot of the times that I was getting killed over and over again by lower level players I could pick out immediately my mistakes and what the other player did well. I can honestly say that if the other player (despite the fact that they were lower level) would have not got the kill in that situation then that would have been more cause for worry as it would have rendered all skill totally redundant in this mode. If you play badly - you will see the consequences regardless of level. I am really enjoying the Iron Banner so far.

You completely missed the point of IRON BANNER event if you think people below level 10 should even have a chance. Here, let's say it like this. "The Vault of Glass raid would be a really bad mode if there was little to no chance for a lower level player to get any sort of joy from the mode" That reads pretty retarded right? It's supposed to.

What? You can fully upgrade Armour and weapons just for playing the PvP. You can get to a level to take on the Raid, just for playing the PvP. So you can get to a level to play the Iron Banner, just from playing normal PvP. This game mode is for Higher Ranked players. That's its purpose, if you're not high enough, then play normal Crucible until you are. Why are people at level 4 not moaning about not being able to play the Raid? You have to rank up. Why are people at level 4 not moaning about being able to wear level 20 armour? You have to rank up. Why are people at level 4 moaning that they can't play Iron Banner? "Because it's not fair and they should be allowed to experience it at their rank?" Seriously? End of the day, there is content in PvE for higher level players. There should be content in PvP for higher level players also. That is what this gametype was meant to be.

They're not higher ranked they just have more stuff. I don't get why you want the mode locked off so badly I mean you get some advantage and it's just a number next to their head as far as you should be concerned. The only reason you would want the level gate is because you're a jack ass or you're really insecure and should try and talk to girls sometime, you'll stop wetting yourself with practice. Protip: head to the lavatory to void your bladder before any potential interactions to minimize your chances of embarrassment

Interesting read. Also very mature. Congratulations. In relation to the topic in hand, people who put the time in, want some end game content. It would also be good to play a mode where you have to be more tactical without getting owned by that individuals powerful weapon etc. To make it more competitive and to bring your best and most upgraded weapons. Otherwise, why have Iron Banner at all? It is just Control otherwise so pointless selling it as new content.

To pit my skills against yours I would want a level playing field. I want to [u]comp[/u]are how [u] comp[/u]etent we are at the game. Hectic and highly lethal I could stand behind. Lower everyone's defense and make everything bonkers. But as it stands all we have is the mythoclast which frankly belongs in banner as-is but has no place in regular crucible. There is no upward mobility from regular crucible because they already allow literally everything but a pointless level gate

What? Iron Banner WAS DESIGNED FOR HIGH LEVEL PLAYERS JUST LIKE THE RAID. It wasn't designed for low-level players... Something must be wrong with you if you actually feel Iron Banner should be as accessible to a 5th as a 28th. Like really really wrong.

It wasn't really designed at all was it? But if it was, I'd argue that it was clearly designed to be inclusive considering the damage balancing. There's literally nothing else it could be but either what it currently is, or pointless for anyone under level 28
