Mostly I can't get over the ludicrous sense of entitlement people have about content that is on the disk. Of course Bungie has been working on those things that aren't accessible yet. Of COURSE it's on the disk you've paid for. But sweet Mother Mary, that does not entitle you to accessing it for free!
Its presence on the disk is no different than if it were equally developed but off the disk.
Bungie spent money developing everything that exists for this game so far, including unreleased content. You can't reasonably or rationally expect any company, whether it be Bungie or Activision, not to look to turn a good profit for all the work gone into it.
Just grow up already and apply real world knowledge here. And get over yourselves.

So 80% or more of you want to download a butt-ton of gigs per update/expansion/dlc instead of having a good bit of the data already stored? You guys would bitch about not being able to play Destiny for a few hours, not to mention the longer the download, the greater chance of interruptions and errors. It's not rocket science people. Just because there is content on the disc doesn't mean it was meant to be in the game from the get go. But, if that's what you want, good on ya, but your bitching will go unnoticed afterwards because that's what you wanted in the first place. Cheers!

Cheers![/quote] I think you are missing the point, the storyline was hacked apart to hit deadline. There is no different start point for different species, no rich cinematic storylines like stated on the case. To be honest there is no real story what so ever, which if you watch the trailers was in the game no more than two months before launch. All we are asking for is the story to be sorted for free as that is what most if us bought it for. Some bought it for PVP but most wanted an high action story driven shooter as it was advertised. That's the thing mate, it was advertised as something it's not bottom line and that should be fixed with no extra charge.

We need a complete story that makes sense. I'm all for meaningful dlc, but needing it just so the story makes sense.... No thanks.

If you buy a house do you have to make additional payment to be able to enter the bathrooms and kitchen? Do you pay full price only to have to pay again for a garage? We are entitled but rightly so.

The problem is that the story was cut off. Is almost non existent we are playing an epilog over and over again.

You miss the point. The way they are releasing this game is rubbish. Nobody is happy. Can't you tell? That means something is wrong. It's not entitlement. People have no problem paying for future releases. (See halo). But people do have a problem with feeling like they didn't get the value that they were told they would get. That's what's happening here.

Just saying its this roll over attitude that lets million dollar companies walk all over people just demand to get what we paid for and in the long run both parties win they will eventually get there money and we dont have to pay twice for a story we should have got from the beginning and everyone will be happy and people will gladly buy the new content cause they know it will be just as good as the orginal content

You make alot of sense hey can i get a bacon cheese burger that will be 2.00 extra but you cant have it today you gotta come back in a month and get it and then pay for it a second time ooooo ok that makes sense so i bought destiny but you get half now another half later but you have to pay for the second half again i think i got it man all makes sense now i feel alot better knowing ill be paying 120 dollars for a 60 dollar game sweet.

Like I said, all anecdotes tend to be flawed. I just pointed you more in the right direction. In any case, what sis you guys expect from this game? Any game that is supposed to last 10 years with DLC is going to be this way. If you didn't expect that, you weren't paying attention.

I literally just repeated the same thing that i started with i just used bacon instead of cheese as the example glad you some how pointed me in right direction lol but i have played expansion based games my entire life usually the enitial story is what holds the audience in so that they have a audience come expansion time you dont make a short story and hope people buy the next little chunck you make a good story that make people hungry for more then feed them just enough to make them want more to think that the lack of content actually has me questioning how small a dlc will be in comparison to the opening for the game which is usually the largest part of any expansion based game

You don't have to try to form some kind of coherent lecture to tell me that. But that has nothing to do with "what Bungie promised." Go follow the subreddit more closely so you can keep up on all this without getting into uninformed arguments with strangers on the internet :)

I'm not sure what you all are always on about with this whole nonsense idea of not getting your money's worth. I and plenty of others have over 250 hours logged and are still enjoying it. I'd say that's more than enough for me. You guys act like doing the same missions over and over is such a new and horrible thing. Where were all your complaints when that was also true for Reach's Firefight and Campaign modes? Stop acting like you're owed anything. It's a bore at this point, and becoming laughable.

I have many hours logged on the game and enjoy it, but just because you enjoy it doesn't mean everyone else does. I personally love the game but you've got to think of how much more there could have been upon release. Like mercury, faction campaigns, and a whole chunk if the story too. I love everything about the game right now but you have to know you're not the only player and there are many people who dislike the game for these reasons. I don't know about you, but I don't want to be the only person playing destiny in a couple months all because destiny left out chunks of the game.

If just killing random creatures for the fact that they are there and someone told you to do it thats not purpose i remember waking up dead in the game and everything started pretty great and i start almost geting sucked in now im just sitting here after playing the whole story going why is ikora my head warlock who are the warlocks why are all the gaurdian different why am i rep grinding for factions that have no purpose in the story why did i just kill a black ball that i guess was a god how in about fifteen missions did i kill a god but i still dunno who the hell i am and wtf am i killing everyone for. So not sure what sucked you in but please enlighten me.

Did you okay the Beta? If so and you still expected a good story and non-repetitive gameplay then I'm afraid you may be an idiot. I personally like that sort of repetitive gear grind. It's why I played Diablo 3 and why I have over 250 hours logged in Destiny so far. Sure, I'd love a better story! I've read and written more than enough not to. But the gear grind is fun, too, and that seems to be more along the lines of what Destiny is about.
