-blam!- the low levels. There, I said it. People keep trying to defend this horse crap with shit like "oh but then it wouldn't be fair to the lvl 5s and they wouldn't be able to play the IB". Is Bungie run by a bunch of liberals or something? What's next? Low levels getting glimmer welfare checks? Legendary gear food stamps? This event, this one freaking event, was supposed to be the place where us high level guys could smack our heads together using all the badass gear we spent so long finding and upgrading. In all honesty they should have had a lvl requirement for this shit. If you aren't 25 or above go -blam!- around in regular crucible. Deal with it.

I would actually expected IB to be a min lvl 20, I have grinded like a mofo on my hawkmoon since I got it so that I would be able to use it in the IB, lvl'ed up my sniper to max, grim citizen to max, zombie apocalypze and the shotgun from the raid is one less upgrade from max....and for what ??? Atm, it doesn't seem to be any difference from being lower lvl against higer lvl....I thought as you did that this was where we would throw every normalisation out the window and just see who had the pbest gear, highest armour and higher lvl'ed guns....like if I went against someone with a maxed out gun with 300 dmg and I was using a lvl 10 gun...I should get wrecked....I should be GB'ed with no lube, and they would not even have the curtesy to say thnx after....just for kicks I was running with a purple sniper rifle lvl 10 since I was doing the void dmg bounty on thorn, and it did almost as good dmg as my maxed out sniper,... Only difference is that my maxed out sniper has more inpact so bodyshots takes more healt....in many way it feels like a normal crucible just with really tiny tiny differences betwen a lvl 4 and a lvl 29.....I don't like that..... This was where gear was supposed to matter, and those who go in with waaaay to low lvl char should be prepared to be broken over a chair while the enemy team lines up behind him...I have one goal in the IB, and that is that i want my spacebus back, after that I don't see much point in doing IB over normal crucible, since all in all it's no difference between low lvl's (10 and below) and high lvl's (20 and above)

Combine that with the broken reward system and IB is an utter fail. "Those who put out will be rewarded." Yea. That's why I went 35 with a 5.25 k/s and got nothing but the guy at the bottom of my team who went 3 with a .3 k/d got a goddamn ice pick. Cause, you know, that makes -blam!-ing sense.

I'm on the top and I get nothing, I'm on the bottom and I get nothing, in the middle and still get nothing. Correction I get lvl 16 crap.

This guy gets it

So long =less than a month? LOL.

Then IB would just be a Level 25 required Crucible playlist. The level bonus wouldn't apply, since everyone would be equal. Just like regular Crucible...

Edited by Sovereign117345: 10/9/2014 3:09:47 PMBetter that then what's happening in this video. Did you watch the video? And so are you saying you think it's good they way it is or that they should just change it to where lvl and gear actually matters? Cause then the low lvls would just be getting -blam!- and it pretty much be farming dregs on the cosmodrome only in crucible. Who the hell wants that?

I just looked at it. Also took a look at Datto's PvP build video: YouTube Bungie has to walk a fine line here: if they make the level advantage too much, the lower levels need not apply, and IB turns into a level-gated playlist. If they make the level advantage not enough (which, I agree, may be the case now) IB won't feel different from regular Crucible. The difficulty is balancing for skill. How much can a player offset a level disadvantage with skill? Should a level 4 player be unable to kill an afk Lv30? When does a player feel that their skill was the deciding factor in a firefight?

It doesn't either way, then...
