I still think that is pretty stupid. I think bungie looked at it this way, either they could build more environments so that there is a seperation of low level and high level players OR they can normalize all players somewhat in a smaller number of environments so that low and high level players are frequently side by side.
I think they went the wrong route. They decided to normalize characters and stats in the limited number of planets so that people can play side by side with high or lower level players. This, completely robs players of the AWSOME feeling of dominating areas that used to give them problems. Now, either they made this design by choice or they were unable (or willing) to build there planet enivronments bigger (or more planets) where there would be seperation between levels.

it takes maybe a day or two of doing story/pvp and turning in bounties to hit lvl 20 so the separation of low and high shouldnt have been a problem the only thing lvls have for this game is the Debuff you have against higher lvl baddies and what armor you can and cannot use sure i can kill low lvl monsters a bit faster than my low lvl character but i still take the same damage sure it makes it more interesting but why have armor points if it means nothing, i wish to strut by low lvl monsters and be like oh a flea bite , or if my controller dies when im getting spinmetal and a lvl 8 shank murders me in less than a min i personally dont like feeling naked when i run around lvls bungie made a mistake with this even if they "thought" it was a good idea lol thats like thinking its a good idea to make a fps with no guns

I think as they add more planets( an obvious direction that they'll have to take with future content assuming there is truly a 10 year plan). This will be remedied. The Cosmodrome is still wicked easy with a high level character but we should see 3000 damage when we pop their heads off with a hand cannon. However, its an easy assumption there will be a level 30 planet just like Mars is a level 18 planet currently.

One of the things I have been suggesting, over and over, is that Bungie include a full planet dedicated to end game and high level players. A whole planet with 26+ stuff to do, unique missions, dailies and maybe even an open PvP area for those people that want it. I would love it if they did something like this and used it like a sandbox, constantly changing out missions, dailies and other things to keep it fresh.

That'd be awesome. I'm not sure you're familiar with it but I played Ragnarok years ago. Just a low res MMO right around the Tibia days. Anyhow, this server I played had a tower with disgustingly high level enemies and open PvP. The only place in the whole PvE part of the game where you could kill each other. Despite some annoying instances where someone would spam specials on you until you died, it was extremely fun. You'd have a room with 10 people and crazy shit happening. If there was a Destiny planet where this occurred...I'd probably do everything there. But I think the materials gained should be randoms from all planets.

Ya, I was thinking this planet could even be large enough where there were different kind of eco systems where different materials would be present. That or bounties would give materials as rewards. Would be a PERFECT place to implement a better PvE faction/reputation system as well. Oh well, maybe if we keep talking about the idea Bungie will hear it.

Do like me, scream in the microphone like a crazy person in the eerily silent tower. Probably won't work but it's the stress relief that counts. You should make a post in the "Feedback" section though.
