You are the problem with gaming communities these days. You admited you barely even play crucible, let alone care about it. No one is asking to be able to 1 hit low lvl enemies, or have an insane advantage. Bungie was the one telling us to "lvl up your gear and weapons, because it's going to matter in iron banner!" I have 2 Plan C exotic fusions rifles, one that hasn't been upgraded at all, and one that is maxed out. They both do the EXACT SAME DAMAGE. This means, they lied to us. A lot of people made sure to have maxed out weapons and gear for this upcoming "iron banner." When in reality, all it is is a competitive play list. There is nothing wrong with that, but they should of advertised it as such, and not claimed gear and weapons matter.. because they clearly do not. You admited you don't care about PVP, well guess what, PVP is the main reason a lot of people bought this game. It is severly lacking in COMPETITIVE GAME MODES. I was expecting Iron Banner to finally be a competitive game mode, where ONLY high lvl GOOD PLAYERS were going to be playing. Sadly, there is almost no difference. The way they made it sound, people were expecting a higher time to kill for EVERYONE even against other high lvls. Sadly, the TTK is the exact same. Then, we have peopel like yourself who aren't even primarily PVP'ers comign in and telling the people who PVP all the time that they are complaining and whining? Get over your ego dude, all we wanted was something new and something that they had promised us. If high lvls truely had an advantage, guess what, all the low lvls would of left and continued to play the normal game modes, leaving iron banner for the truely competitive and best players. That is what we wanted, not another control game mode.
