which type of horror game is better?

Games based on stories/videos (like slender)

Games that provide the whole backstory, all that's left is to be scared (...I guess, those house click and point games)

Games that require you to look for the story in game and probably piece the story together via theories (I dunno...Five Nights for example)

I'd say it's a mix out both keeping away information and piecing it together so it remains mysterious. Sometimes one is better left with no definite answer. PT comes to mind...
