I loved FF8 too I just preferred FF7. See i didn't like the draw system and all the GF stuff. The materia system could be a pain to get xp for the materia but I didn't mind too much. I also thought the story was better. Sephiroth still has got to be one of the best villains ever. It's ridiculous how quality storytelling can make a game. There was no voices and the had ridiculous hexagonal shaped bodies, but you were so emotionally attached to the characters it didn't matter. I could go back and put 40 hours into that game right now. In fact I'd prefer it to playing destiny
