My main is a Striker Titan; and for a long time I was convinced that Bladedancers were OP. It felt like I was getting killed by Arc Blade and Blinkstrike every 10 seconds. So, I figured I would switch and leveled up a Bladedancer to 24 and tried it in PvP...
Before the Alt:
- Thought Blinkstrike was a 1 shot kill
- Didn't even think about the lack of a 1 shot grenade
- Figured they just turned Arc Blade on and spammed the melee button to kill everyone. I also thought it must have lasted for 30 seconds, they were invulnerable while having it on, and it refreshed much more quickly than other supers
- Thought they could easily go stealth to get off the radar
After the Alt:
- Blinkstrike is not insta-kill, it only seems that way because they shoot you with a gun really quick then FOLLOW UP with the blinkstrike
- Grenades are...meh. The one that splits and follows people is ok, but it is more of a follow up to someone that I already almost killed, and it misses sometimes.
- What you DON'T see as another class is how often Arc Blade gets wasted. There is a delay when turning it on, and another delay if you want to go invisible first. So you have to just hope that a lot of people are in the room when you get there.
And yes, it does need to be aimed. You can't literally be facing 180 degrees the other direction and hit someone behind you.
I didn't keep count, but it felt like the times I got killed while trying to deliver a super was about the same with my Striker as it is with my Bladedancer.
The reason Arc Blade feels so OP is because there is often so many hunters in the Crucible.
- To just go invisible, they need to crouch still for a few seconds first. This is currently pretty bugged, there are many times where I will crouch and not move but not go invisible. This feels similar to clicking the left stick and not sprinting or the looong delay after hitting someone with Shoulder Charge. Also you are very easy to spot by sight from medium or closer range, but I did manage to sneak up behind people a few times; This was fun.
After trying both classes, I am actually going to stick with my Striker. I really like clearing a room with a flash grenade followed up with a shoulder charge and then shotgun blasts. Also it is just a less "touchy" class, if that makes sense.

ive noticed that there are typically more hunters than strikers, but i dont feel like my striker is any more or less overpowered than the other two classes. i get the odd quad kill and quite a few double and triple kills. and more often than not i see hunters dying before typically getting three kills with the arcblade, when i can regularly get three with my super.. BUUTTT.. they do fairly well with thier golden gun. i dont believe a "nerf" is in order for any class in particular. but the delay in some abilities is my main concern. it sucks to shoulder charge someone and die. but 3 seconds later get a postmortem kill. or to shouldercharge someone in the face and turn to your next target just to die by the guy you just shoulder charged, but didnt die.
