Every dlc after the first two will be free
Activision have it as a mandatory clause that the first two DLC needed to be paid for to access
And generally Activision/EA expect these dlc to be announced early on and released early on, just look at what happened with BF4, because the dlc was delayed so the game could be fixed it opened a can of shit for Dice
Sadly this means that much of the story was cut directly out for said dlc
But I'm not going to sit behind a screen and whine because of it
Despite Destiny not quite living up to the hype it was before the release of shadow of mordor, the best game of the year and I'm still playing the hell out of it and still enjoying it, as are 3.2 million players every day
as are 3.2 million players every day
Maybe you should choose your words more carefully then? I don't see an "around" or "about" in their implying that's not a firm number per day. And if Destiny was touting such large numbers wouldn't it be prudent to release the average AND something along the lines of "last Saturday we hit a peak of 6.4m at one time,"? They threw around enough other random stats. I'll ignore your implication that I don't have a degree lol, my career requires it and that's enough for me. Chief Illiniwick for life lol
-
I'll remember that the next time the internet grammar police and allusion brigade come knocking, and I never insinuated that you had no degree, just making some points known. And I dont know why Bungie didn't release that particular statistic, why not ask them?

3.2 million out of 10 million+ units sold. 2/3 aren't playing. On one platform MW2 had 1.5+ million copies sold first month and WoW had over 1.5+ million subscribers first month. Across 4 consoles for either that would equal 6 million per. Those are from 2009 and 2005 respectively. Gamer population has nothing but increased and been more acceptable to society since then. Destiny is at half those numbers...
-
Yes because not everyone who bought the game plays it everyday given they still have the game Like people with lives Kids who aren't allowed until weekends Etc Like Just because pewdiepie has nearly 40 million subscribers doesn't mean he gets 40 million views per video per day It's more like 2 or 3 last I saw I know how statistics work Studying it as part of my degree tends to achieve that
-
Well you brought up the numbers not me, and its 3.2m average so even more shame on you. I already have my philosophy degree so trust me I know about stats and how they can be used. Maybe you should be more careful in bringing them up? And/or study more so you learn what a can of worms even bringing them up can be?
-
Someone with such experience in statistics would have realised that I for one were referring to the average daily player involvement And secondly wouldnt have made that 3.2/10 million statement You knew what I meant No need to get nitpicky about something so insignificant
-
Le sigh yes you did...
Someone with such experience in statistics ... And secondly wouldnt have made...
You're the one still studying, do you have to write papers for your degree your studying? Words and/or lack of words have meaning and implications. Especially when arguing stats and numbers. And deflecting, while a viable option, makes your stance look weaker. I've already left feedback for bungie about their numbers in a thread specifically with the 3.2 million in the title. For some reason I doubt I'll get a response though. But as I think about it, if I had some number or stat I was proud of, I'm pretty sure I'd throw it out there while I was "flaunting" others.

Yes and I'll admit to any mistakes I've made then even though my intended message wasn't portrayed correctly Yes I do have to write plenty a paper Surprisingly very little for the areas of statistics I covered though :/ And yeah I doubt you would get any response, the recent article which was addressing issues with the iron banner only deflected the issue somewhat They admitted the existance of the lack of uniqueness in the event, yet aside from alluding to improvements when it returns never outlined what would be changed
