Getting to 30 should just be what anyone can do, getting the best gear in the game should be what raiding will do. The whole concept of gear that levels you is f'ing stupid and who ever had the idea should go jump off a cliff.

Fact is though is everyone playing the game wants to be able to reach level cap which right now is 30 and not everyone has time to raid , whether it be because they are adults with children or just people that don't socialize much, or don't have time because they work . Everyone's situation is different and that's no reason to punish them. If you pay for the game and want to play it you should be able to reach all levels playing the way you want to . It's selfish to think any other way. I love raiding myself so getting to 30 for me will happen as soon as the gear drops , but some people will be stuck at level 28 or 29 forever unless something changes and then people will stop playing and then my favorite game will die and be no more which I don't want happening. You have a right to your opinion whether it be selfish or not , and at the moment your opinion is the rule , hopefully that will change though

The problem is that everyone draws a line where they think rewards should be given and how they should be given out. Raiding takes time yes, especially the first time, but it is a part of the game. And using the reason "I bought this game so I should be able to get ______, without as much effort." Then every game in history would be up for debate in its reward system, it ruins the very nature of a rewarding game. I think this is especially important when referring to a multiplayer game because it has a direct effect on the rest of the community.

Leveling to 30 shouldn't be considered a reward. I've played many mmo's world of Warcraft being one of my Favorites with 7 capped out toons, geared to raid. Gear should be the reward and more of it should be available . I'm a 28 warlock at the moment and was wearing a head piece from the queen quests, hated it and decided to buy a vanguard helm. Was dropped back down to level 26 when I switched pieces until I leveled the gear up again which I did. It's stupid as f--- to lose a couple of levels when you want to switch your gear. I think the leveling is stupid as f--- but of course that's my opinion.
