I definitely posted a lot, for any who may remember, about the cave being an exploit and cheating. My argument was simple and was that if players can stand in one spot and reap more rewards than players putting forth real effort then something was seriously wrong with the map design, and I doubted the intent of Bungie to have the pinnacle of their game being a staring contest into a black hole. The topic had some complexity, as I argued how this game faired with other games. However if you honestly think "running" or "farming" is cheating then I must admit you're a complete idiot, though hear me out. First off, the argument about the loot cave wasn't about farming but was about farming in a specific spot abusing the spawn box. Please understand the difference, many of you hated me for my view on the matter, but I wonder now how many agreed and had such reasons that now players claim to have in this thread about "runs". It is absurd to think that moving your character through explorable terrain in a specific pattern is cheating. What is being exploited? The spawn times? Do you not spend a bit longer in a map to have a chance to participate in a Public Event, and if not, are players who lazy around a few extra minutes to get that chance cheaters? Let's not forget the effort required to move your character, and the intention of games with treasure chests, or role playing type games, or even massively multiplayer games, or even shared world shooters: it's really simple and most likely (because of how common the aspect of "running" or "chest farming " is in other games) was the intent of Bungie. I mean do I have to go into detail. It's almost mind boggling that anyone would think doing "chest farming" or "spinmetal farming " is cheating. If you think it's cheating, and will post over and over about it then nice to meet you - am gonna post just as often about your silly ideas.
