dead space could have stood on its own without sequels the story was ok but the experience was amazing. RE4 didnt give me the jump scares and sense of terror this game provided. i guess it adds more because i find deep space settings more ominous but to each his own the GAAH and HEERG made it more terrifying because of the ambient noises and "helmet stifle effect" just a really well made game. i didnt even finish 2 because the cutscenes and story distracted me from the terror/suspense i did watch all the cutscenes online to get the jist of the story read all the lore and saw the movies
