Isn't that what you are supposed to do in a game. Find a way to beat it that limits your chance or failure. Heck my group failed many times before we saw the platforms as a way to take care of business. Still had to get to that point in the game. How you can defend this is crazy. In anycase still beat it yesterday despite the bullcrap.
