Ok, I've been using The Calling recently and loving it, but I've also just received the Proxima Centauri II and I'm finding it very difficult to decide which one to use.
The Calling has Mulligan, Life Support and +2 agility
The Proxima has Zen Moment and Third Eye
Both handle great, and the Zen's initial lack of stability in no way impacts by playstyle as I'm always crap with the first shot anyway.
Help me decide!
Also, discuss your favourite scout rifles and such so I can learn how to use these damn things in PvP because I suck.

If Xur ever sells MIDA, get it. It's my fave. Otherwise I use The Calling and the firefly perk is pretty awesome.
-
I rather my Ares nemesis.
-
I have the Calling and love it.
-
I did the 10k kills for Grimore with the proxima.
-
I love my Proxima. How many bullets is in that clip? Mine shows 14 but in the field it will only load up to 13. Mine has Third eye and explosive rounds.

Vision of Confluence, nothing else.Auto fire, solar damage and an expandible clip of 29.best scout for hunter so far.i'm waiting to full levelling the MIDA, it looks great.btw you can't use a scout in every map of pvp, it suit good in middle range combat situation.

Edited by RedlessShikarii: 10/16/2014 12:04:28 PMI went backwards in terms of scouts. My first was Visions of Confluence from the raid. Before that gun, I would insta-dismantle scouts. Now I can't get enough of them. I find my Atheon's and Suros not being brought out for days, so you could imagine my excitement when news came of the buff. I'm levelling a new hunter and it's been scouts since day one. Been having fun with some rare ones, but just got my first Centauri. Can't wait to level it! Edit- Also, PvP may be difficult if you're just switching over from autos. My first few games were terrible because I was charging in like I had an auto haha. After changing my play style, I get more kills than I ever did before. Tips for PvP: Don't charge. Hang back behind a teammate who has a closer range gun. You can back them up with your insane scout reach. If you're on a small map, remember your weapon is a range gun, so have a shotgun or a closer range special to switch to. (If you find yourself in close quarters with a guardian, just hip fire. It still hits them just as hard, but there's a chance of missing the shot) If you're on a large map, go for full range with your scout and a sniper equipped. Hang around sniper range and take them out with either weapon(Just be aware, if you kill a few people at range and you don't change spots, they WILL come for you) Scouts are love, scouts are life.

I've got 3 scout rifles that I mix and match on a daily basis; I'd go with Proxima Centauri, I personally love that rifle, but the other one u got sounds nice too...
thumbs up for unhelpful post haha
Vision of Confluence my friend. I would say best weapon there is. It feels smooth, rate of fire it's amazing for an sr (auto fire), good impact and almost no recoil.

The Calling: Life Support is most effective in PvE i think. i mean yeah it can be effective in PvP but you come across more situations where it's needed in PvE.. +2 Agility: good buff but if you're not running an agility based build then it's not getting it's full use. Mulligan: That's just never a bad thing. Proxima: Third eye: Like Muligan, this is never a bad thing. Zen Moment: Priceless and has equal effectiveness in both PvE and PvP. Looking at them both i'd be more inclined to go with the Proxima.
