No, unless you count the warp pipes in Mario. The only time I'd use a cheat is either just to see what it would do, like adding sephiroth to your party or when I was already done with the game.

See but those were specifically designed by the developers to be used for the purpose they served. It's kind of different with the platforms. Otherwise there would have been a big "Stand Here" sign lol.
