You're circumventing the mechanics of the game which is what you play the game fore. As I said, it's like breaking down the walls to complete a maze or not even going in but walking around the outside to get to the end. Why even do the maze or the raid if you're not going to go through it?
P.S. Using a mechanics in a way it was, blatantly, not intended to be used to progress through the game is cheating as far as I can see.
Edit: Farming public events is not cheating. It's the same as farming spirit bloom.

Do you consider the other things I listed as cheating?

I can't get back to your reply where you gave examples so I only remember two. Farming public events is like farming spirit bloom so no. If you mean finding cover from the mnigun then no, bit if instead mean finding a place where you'll take no damage regardless of where the boss moves while you are still able to do damage to it then yes.

My point is, who cares? We bought the game, so let us play how we want as long as it doesn't hurt another player's experience.
-
P.S. that is only one part of how it negatively affects other players experiences.

It does. You lord your achievements and loot over those who faced the challenge as intended and claim to be just as accomplished as they are. You also reap the sane rewards they do after putting in the work, making their victory less meaningful. Now that is not all gamers. I could personally careless if you cheese you're way through the fight. Just don't act like you actually fought it because you didn't. You could have, but you didn't.
