The warlocks melee has THE LONGEST range out of the other classes, it even beats blink strike. Add in strength for melee ability cooldown, and increased melee speed, possibly melee ability cooldown on grenade hit plus grenade ability cooldown on melee hit = Energy Drain/Scorch for days. Not to mention glide or blink melee striking, added with the knockback ability with Scorch, you can reel up another melee before a titan can shoulder charge you into oblivion. My favorite quote from a warlock bond goes "He came at me with a knife. I put out my hand and - just so - made him into ash."
