I ... kind of agree. And I didn't like Borderlands 2 that much.
Picked Pre-Sequel up to play with a friend, and it's reminded me that games can be fun, not just a pointless grind of the same content again and again so you can finally get faction rep for a legendary drop that turns into Motes of Light.
Also, no Caterpillars, and PvE balance isn't regularly smashed because of an abortive PvP mode with awful matchmaking.

Except after beating borderlands once, it's a pointless grind for weapons and shields.
Except after beating borderlands once, it's a pointless grind for weapons and shields.
Yes, but a/ there's more content to repeat, and spawns are more randomised, so it still feels somewhat fresh, b/ many of the weapons and shields have properties that encourage your play style to change a bit more, and c/ Borderlands once through for all the content is quite a bit longer and more varied than Destiny once through for all the content. This really is the problem with Destiny. Its core is great, but the amount of repetition involved is extreme, even for an loot game. My comment wasn't meant to suggest Borderlands was great. I think it's reasonably good, but that still stacks up well against Destiny. If there really are just two strikes in the 'expansion,' I give up.
