Seeing as we're getting a moon DLC with major offenses against the Hive and seeing as we have had plenty of time to run all rampant all over the moon, wouldn't it be great if the City deployed a group of titans of one of its orders to secure something like say, the abandoned colony base near the Hellmouth? It'd actually show that we're making some progress instead of feeling like a failing pest control company.
One could even add a new public event defending the new City outpost alongside these new friendly AI titans that do little more than act like the AI already in the game guarding their area. Occasionally, Fallen or Hive might attack them and you'd be able to see a firefight every time you enter the zone, making the world and moon seem more alive.
Thoughts?

Ya I thought about that, figured they already have plans for that as the game progresses but probably not for awhile.

Edited by PRINCE_ALI_1985: 10/31/2014 8:57:08 PMGreat idea you need to get bumped so the dev. Could see it. I hope the idea could see the light of day and the post should be named after you. :)

Bump absolutely brilliant

Good idea! I was waiting to unlock the next story mission when i realised there wasn't one!!! It had no conclusion, a great shame as it started brilliantly. This idea would add life to the world. Nice one.
-
I like it, like a lot! Too bad with Bungie.. Or shall we say the puppets under the control of Activision, we won't see it. Good thought though, really nice.

Must see video

My thoughts is for you guys to go play sunset overdrive and see how a game is actually supposed to be again. Bungie ruined this shooter and insomniac has restored my faith in game developers. I finally have a reason to give up this POS excuse for a game and play something that's actually fun and rewarding again.

Be patient there a list that has to be full filed first....
Some of them will be revealed very soon. Others will appear when you least expect them. When you see what I’ve seen, I hope you’ll be as excited as I am.
Update 10/24/14
Timeline for these changes: They’ll be going in soon. We have a more substantive update in certification right now, which slows down our ability to make changes to the Live game.
update 10/17/14
I’m pretty excited about the next game update. I think you will be, too. We’re working up an explanation of what we’ll be changing.
Update 10/10/14
Some day, we’ll have this conversation again. That day will come next week, even.
(In regard to voice chat) Also Update 10/10/14
If you asking about the next batch of enhancements, refinements, fixes, and tweaks, the answer is: Very soon.
(In regard to when the next update would happen, not counting the one that fixed the Cryptarch) Update 10/3/14
We listen to you more than you might think, and there are plans we can’t disclose fully yet that will change your experience as a Guardian.
(Regarding timeframes on when major fixes and content updates would come) Update 9/26/14
Destiny's near-term solution will be to allow players to opt-in to voice communication during matchmade activities. Work on this feature was underway at launch and should be rolled out this year in Strikes and the Crucible.
Dev Notes 9/24/14
Since launch we've tracked down an issue which has made Strikes more challenging than originally designed by both increasing damage taken by players and decreasing the damage inflicted by players on the boss. Expect to see this addressed soon, and for Strikes to become a little less grindy as a result
Dev Notes 9/24/14
In particular those weapons received from completing exotic bounties including Thorn and Bad Juju have disappointed many of us who have gone through the great effort to obtain them because, despite looking and sounding amazing, they feel underpowered. We're here to offer some advice: don't shard those guns. Their time will come.
Dev Notes 9/24/14

I agree with this so much, but the sad truth is half the reason the storyline was destroyed was because, as the deadline drew closer, Bungie and Activision collectively abandoned a lot of it to turn this in to another hallowed out shooter that mostly focused on pvp because that was a safe sale. They've experienced this with Halo and CoD, the safe bet to make back the money they invested was to make it a shoot-em-up where pvp was the focus and people played year round. Sadly they'll most likely neglect the PvE aspect in comparison.

Bump 👏👍

Ya things need to exists like this to make the world actually feel like an impactful war not just target practise.
-
The best idea I've heard of for destiny so far. It'd help take the grind off patrol missions and res farming, if I worked for Bungie or another game dev company you'd be hired ;) BUMP BUMP BUMP!!!
-
Most the ideas in the feedback end up better than what bungie had in mind lol. But seriously I really like this idea.

This.

Edited by DEZARATH: 10/27/2014 11:48:35 PMIf it was another developer. This one doesn't think like that.
-
As cool as this idea is they can't even get that NPC to rotate her shaders. They can't remove bounties that can not be completed. They can't stop people from running all over the new DLC areas. They can't get events right. This idea seems like it would extra credit on a game that simple "can't"

I like it ALOT!

Good idea

I always thought that there must be like a citizen militia of some sort as well. It would take a lot of serious man power to properly secure the walls around the city and titans are too valuable to be wasted by the thousands just sitting in barracks around the city waiting to repel small raiding parties and scouts. Plus there must be a significant police presence for a city of several million. Seen marks and lore mentioning that some titan orders are brought in on occasion to restore peace and order in the city, but what about the everyday shit? So be nice to see some regular soldiers on Earth at least who look at us with awe like the marines do in Halo to the spartans or like the regulars do to the pilots in titanfall.

True. Or are all non player guardians dead. Would have been nice to fight alongside lord Saladin or someone else at some point in the campaign even if they were practically useless.
