Seeing as we're getting a moon DLC with major offenses against the Hive and seeing as we have had plenty of time to run all rampant all over the moon, wouldn't it be great if the City deployed a group of titans of one of its orders to secure something like say, the abandoned colony base near the Hellmouth? It'd actually show that we're making some progress instead of feeling like a failing pest control company.
One could even add a new public event defending the new City outpost alongside these new friendly AI titans that do little more than act like the AI already in the game guarding their area. Occasionally, Fallen or Hive might attack them and you'd be able to see a firefight every time you enter the zone, making the world and moon seem more alive.
Thoughts?

I like this idea, bump.

TOTALLY AGREE
-
Makes too much sense so it will never happen.
-
Great Idea! Could take it a few steps further and add a whole slew of public events around it. Defend the supply drop, recover a hostage, and repel an assault.

SUPERBUMP

Awesome idea

They should add randomly generated gaurdians at the tower, then it wont always seem so lonely.

Bump. Great idea. +6 billion

also if there was like a group of AI hunters out patrolling the cosmodrone and when you got near them they'd start hunting a target and youd have to join the hunt and help them.

Edited by aaahhhoooiiii: 10/21/2014 12:37:39 AMSure, for 28.99. But in all seriousness if I could +10 I could, but I cant. So, here's a bump and a like. EDIT: Why not have Hunters deployed to unconquered planets to give us odd missions as well? I mean, we ARE the scouts, right?
-
I agree. And as for the progress on the planets, I was thinking that maybe we could get little vanguard outposts on some planets. Imagine some kind of small building or set of buildings that would have a cryptarch, gunsmith, or postmaster. Maybe a bounty-giver that would give bounties related directly to that planet. Something along those lines.

Yes please! Pretty cool idea

That would be magical

This idea is just too cool. I would love it if we could fight alongside some npc's! But not titans. What if they were somthing like foot soldiers, somthing a little less then guardians. Kind of like the marines from halo. We could have a new event, like defend the downed supply transport, or defend the vanguard outpost from the hive!

Somewhere I have a pretty detailed post with this idea already. Can't seem to find it though. But good stuff!

Nice idea!

This. Is a good idea.

I like this idea

I have had this thought so many times
-
why would the add NPC guardians when the game is already full of human gaurdians? you can already see firefights by watching players as they do missions

Edited by Azerkeux: 10/21/2014 7:18:42 AMOpen world NPC raids would be a good thing... DAoC has something similar were a faction of NPC's attacks a border-keep on each realm every few hours... It's not very sophisticated, but that game is old. This is totally doable.

Good idea, it'd breath some life into the environments. And how about some NPC structures in those transit areas between map sections?
These actually sound like they'd make the world feel alive and be an improvement but they'd never do it. That would require work
