Deploying friendly AI into the world to make it look like you've made some progress.
Seeing as we're getting a moon DLC with major offenses against the Hive and seeing as we have had plenty of time to run all rampant all over the moon, wouldn't it be great if the City deployed a group of titans of one of its orders to secure something like say, the abandoned colony base near the Hellmouth? It'd actually show that we're making some progress instead of feeling like a failing pest control company.
One could even add a new public event defending the new City outpost alongside these new friendly AI titans that do little more than act like the AI already in the game guarding their area. Occasionally, Fallen or Hive might attack them and you'd be able to see a firefight every time you enter the zone, making the world and moon seem more alive.
Thoughts?

1 ReplyI would love this and if you've ever seen the post where it says that the fallen should do something like attack the tower and everyone there would have to defend it, you should talk to the guy who wrote it and team up with him and see what blossoms

Yes! Wrote something similar a few weeks ago. This game lacks historical development. We need events where sozens of guardians establish new bases all over the planets. We need progress that last!

Awesome idea! Bungie, please send updates for the planets that shows City progress in pushing the Darkness back! It could be an update unlocked when a player reaches a certain stage of game progress?

Would be great, but takes time. That and this thread will be likely buried. Of course, there's a good reason it's a wasteland filled with nothingness. The very reason it is such a thing is because it IS a wasteland filled with nothingness.

This is a great idea. Squads of AI guardians or whatever those robot thingies are that shaxx uses that would fight with you. It could replace the "The enemies are moving against each other" With "We are launching an assault on the enemy encampment"

I actually think world npcs are what would make the game better overall. The ability to get, ammo or faction gear ousted the tower would be awesome. Since we live and defend the last safe city I'd like to see the unsafe cities where people still live. I'd like to kill a boss the MN get berated or praised by an npc hunter that decloaks.
