Seeing as we're getting a moon DLC with major offenses against the Hive and seeing as we have had plenty of time to run all rampant all over the moon, wouldn't it be great if the City deployed a group of titans of one of its orders to secure something like say, the abandoned colony base near the Hellmouth? It'd actually show that we're making some progress instead of feeling like a failing pest control company.
One could even add a new public event defending the new City outpost alongside these new friendly AI titans that do little more than act like the AI already in the game guarding their area. Occasionally, Fallen or Hive might attack them and you'd be able to see a firefight every time you enter the zone, making the world and moon seem more alive.
Thoughts?

I actually think world npcs are what would make the game better overall. The ability to get, ammo or faction gear ousted the tower would be awesome. Since we live and defend the last safe city I'd like to see the unsafe cities where people still live. I'd like to kill a boss the MN get berated or praised by an npc hunter that decloaks.

Edited by TorriderFiddle: 11/17/2014 9:11:19 PMI love the idea, buts it's missing one thing.
Another battle to defend the City. All Guardians are called into an hour long Mass Public Event, where the goal is to protect the Outer Walls of the City. Friendly Vanguard NPCs will assist in the defense, and the occasional boss will arrive.
Edit) It could happen once every month, and it would guarantee a legendary weapon or armor.

Ok I see how this is great and all but why only titans, yes I know they have a Ward of Dawn bubble to protects and a Fist of Havoc but what about some warlocks or hunters to even the odds.

They signed a ten year contract saying they have to produce new content for that amount of time. I understand that we all are wanting more, but if they threw everything out at us at once the wouldn't make the ten years. Yeah it's getting a little stale doing the same thing constantly. And this idea sounds awesome. I'd like to see a mission where the fallen or something attacks the tower. In every good game at some point the enemy invades your base and you have to fight then off. It could be an event like queens wrath.

I'd rather they add a new area than remove enemies from an area where enemies and public events spawn

Id be happy with more variety in general, and ya i like the idea neverwinter did a similar thing were a strong hold would be under attack periodically.

I hope they do. It bugs me when I go up against a "Hive army" alone in the moon. Or anywhere. It doesn't have to be hive. Friendlies please.

But... Can we kill the friendly AI? Crota demands it.

I wish Bungie would do something...Anything...to make all these planets less GD empty and boring! Same enemies, in the same places with the same dumb AI routines Every Time!! I swear I can play this game blindfolded. Would it kill em to add more enemies, different enemies! Have anyone at Bungie ever played the open world Masterpieces of Rockstar and Bethesda, where in GTA IV or V, Skyrim, Fallout 3 I can find more unpredictable and random encounters in 5 mins than in three months worth of Destiny play. Congrats Bungie, if you wanted to make an easy baby MMO for those who find checkers too stimulating, you succeeded!!

+1. These type of clever ideas that breath new interest and life into the game really ought to be considered. I guess what it all boils down to is labor cost, and how much ACTIVISION will have to pay the programmers to add these interesting twists to the game, and whether or not it can be justified as a free patch, or a paid for future DLC. Remember all video games are business enterprises first and foremost. What will people buy vs how much it costs to make determines profit margins. The first question on any game developers mind will always be, "will these changes we make to the game yield more profit in the long run". If yes, then we can expect to see it happen.

Sound good they need more game modes bad.
