Just would like to shoot this out for an experiment. I'd like to know what you guys played before Destiny came out!
If you played both, which one did you play more?
EDIT: A cheeky Guardian has decided to necrobump this post, and has now caused me great distress. I've formed a multitude of ulcers in the last 15 minutes.
But I still am curious, even though it's been months- so the post is here to stay.

Played both, Halo on the original xbox and a few on the 360, but I played COD more than halo
-
Halo CE started it all for me, so it's pretty obvious.
-
Killzone player. No aim assist woooooo
-
Halo and COD.
-
CoD player before Destiny. Now I play Destiny everyday and enjoying the PVP
-
Been playing halo since it came out.. Loved all of them, not liking 343 so far tho, they need to take some pointers from the real mvps. #Bungie (I know some of 343 is consisted of bungie employees, but still, there's definitely a difference between 3 and reach, js)

Duck hunt for NES.
-
Lots of Reach, lots of Gears of War, lots of Battlefield and Ghost Recon:FS. Now, just lots of Destiny.
-
I've played halo since CE. I've had plans to go MLG for halo 2 but my team never went through with it lol. So now I just play Destiny for fun. I'm not as competitive as I used to be

Socom !!

Was a Halo player till I played Halo 4. Playing that trash killed my once intense love of Halo.

Edited by xRasen: 12/7/2014 8:04:07 PMHalo.... Reach and 4 were abominations though. (multiplayer)
-
Played WoW. That was my main game. I've played WoW since vanilla and ended in MoP. Didn't like the way the game was going. Haven't researched to much into this new expansion, but maybe I'll start playing again. Destiny is the second best game I've played behind WoW and you guys that say Destiny isn't similar to an MMO is wrong. I played WoW for 8 years and put over a year of play time into and there are many similaritys between the two.

I enjoyed Halo even though it shared the "Bungie lag" like this game, I loved messing around in the forge and appreciated the theatre mode But I've also gamed hard on Gears of War 1,2&3, Operation Flashpoint Dragon Rising, Battlefield BC1&2, BF3, BF4, Crysis 2&3, TC Advanced Warfighter 1&2, TC rainbow six Vegas 1&2, TC Ghost Recon future soldier,Alien vs Predator, Age of Empires/mythology And more.

Edited by 28 stab wounds: 12/8/2014 12:46:46 AMBefore Destiny games I played shooter-wise were Halo 4, Halo Reach, Battlefield 4 and MW3. But all of them I didn't play often, I was mostly into World Of Tanks and Euro Truck Simulator 2.

Ghost recon
-
Halo and battlefield all day
-
I was a World of Warcraft player and a Halo/COD guy.
-
Played CoD for years until I found DUST 514. Played DUST 514 for nearly two years. Then out came Destiny. DUST 514, even as broken as it is, is still a far better game than CoD or Destiny. Just my opinion.

Edited by Fuelled Oats: 12/7/2014 10:53:47 PMThe last fps I played before Destiny was halo3. Reach and four were awful compared to the first two so I didn't stick, I was just a casual at launch and then drifted into other games. Mainly RPG's that I could take my patience and time. cOd, well I don't have an opinion on it. I think I played one of the campaigns once.

I was addicted to battlefield 3. Battlefield 4 was a bit disappointing but I found halo boring and cod too repetitive. Of it wasn't for the beta trial I may have never bought destiny. But even with a full time job that takes me away from home, and four kids and a wife at home, I still clocked up plenty hours. Safe to say battlefield can get put away for good
-
Battlefield used to be my main game until I got BF4 and quit due to the ridiculous amounts of bug and glitches. Not to mention the imbalance of weapons and vehicles.
-
I've played a lot of Resident Evil and Assassin's Creed before Destiny. With the occasional Call of Duty, Titanfall, and Halo in between.

Both but mostly cod so I picked cod
