Only FPS I played online were on PC, Counter-strike since 2000 Unreal Tournament Quake 3 Before Destiny I was sure FPS wasn't for me on console, it's the 'RPG' part that made me take the bait.

  • When you get good enough to get those deagle hs flicks on pc you think "How can I give this up?" I do miss it, but I can't afford a rig capable of 120fps anymore. I miss the across the map AK singletap. The 4shot M4 burst, and the AWP mid picks. None of those are feasible on console. If any of you console guys think that 120fps isnt needed go to a LAN.

  • Yeah it's a totally different genre almost... I do think I could get good at some point, but it's mostly about fun. No stress, just shoot 'em up. It's not like there's a competitive scene anyway here lol.

  • I actually like that about Destiny. I was CEVO-M in Source and it got exhausting. Calling teammates when they didn't show for practice, watching replays of our opponants, etc. i wasn't even that good. I was a part-time pro. My team had to carry me until I got HOT and then I'd carry. That was the most stress I ever had playing a video game. It wouldn't have been worth it if I couldn't get those 5v1 clutches. That feeling right there was why I kept it up so long. When I pubbed in source I'd pull off 20v1 clutches.

    Yeah the learning curve is huge but when you got good, you didn't really get 'noobed'. In here any noob can super your face. I kinda like that casual touch to Destiny.

  • I think the biggest problem with console FPS is the overflow from the CoD community. My team has scrimmed several CoD teams in source and inevitably they would trash talk when they lost and call us out for a CoD scrim. We'd condescend to it and promptly win without dropping a round. CoD kiddies believe that they are good and better than you. When you destroy them you cheat or are abusing something.
