Where are the SHADERS!!!
[b]When the beta had launched for this game all vendors[/b] within the tower, more specifically the faction vendors,[b] had an alloted amount of [/b]faction [b]shaders along with the rest of their inventory[/b]... [b]On top of that "Eva Levonte"[/b] (A.K.A. Woman who torments me with "refreshed" stock of the same dagum stock as last week)[b] Had an inventory that would constantly update and had a variety of shaders to purchase[/b]...
[b]Now [/b]the game being out for over a month and[b] a majority of players are wearing the[i] EXACT[/i] same shaders because nothing is available to us[/b]... [b]the game was supposed to be make yourself legend, [i]Not [/i]homogenize every character until they all look the exact same...

[b]I understand some loot and the necessity for keeping it RNG based but [i]SHADERS!!![/i][/b]...[b]Shaders are expressions of our personal taste and preference[/b]...there isn't some majical OP shader that needs a nerf nor buff...its a SHADER...and [b]people should be able to dye their armor to their liking[/b]...
[b]Shaders shouldnt be treated like an exotic item [/b]([i]unless they have truly exotic traits such as "Tron" lighted armor, or hive shaded armor with glowing green visor tints, in which case these could be harder to ascertain but should still be ATTAINABLE[/i])[b] and shouldnt be left to RNG[/b] [b]or the [/b]forsaken [b]Cryptarch to hand out[/b] in one of his oh so gracious "care packages" [b]for leveling him up[/b]...
If anyone else is sincerely dissapointed or simply fed up and would like access to more shaders [b]please sign/post here[/b]...

Edited by IRON RUMBLER: 10/21/2014 3:47:22 AMI keep getting the same shaders always and end up deleting the ones I have since it's annoying going to the Tower and being constantly reminded the same crappy ones are there for me to take over and over again. This goes for gear also and would rather not get any then get the same thing 50 times a week.

Signed. It's terrible seeing the same common shaders when there are so many good ones that are impossible to get. Look on destinydb at all the shaders there are when I haven't even seen or heard of 99% of them.

1 ReplyTo the very LEAST. It'd be nice if Eva Lebitchte would grab the occasional rare shader or 2 and replace those god awful ones that have been around since the very beginning. She has no problem with getting the occasional rare emblem if people are wealthy enough. As for the faction shaders, why in the good name of all the Traveler's light would they just take that away? how is anyone supposed to sport their faction once they get raid gear besides a simple emblem? a Dead Orbit shader would look great on my Prime Zealot armor. have you seen that armor without a shader? *shivers* yeeck I also think that if you are in a clan or a group, that the leader of said clan/group should be able to make a shader specific to them. and allow members of it to access it via the Special Orders. Shaders come in 3 colors if i'm not mistaken, so just put in a Hue mixer and 3 slots for the colors. Maybe some sort of bonus like camo or some pattern. (Similar to ThunderDevil and Substance321)

1 ReplyI'm not even angy about the faction shaders although they would be great. What really bugs me is that I keep doing patrol missions for Eva Levante over and over and over again because she always wants me to collect stuff for her just to sell me the same worn out shaders since launch day. What does she do with the things I collect for her??? This is the real question. From me alone she recieved amounts of materials enough to cover the whole tower in them... Man she makes me angry. Personally I think the vendors are the main reason why the use of guns is not allowed within the tower. Man I would love to blow her face away...

13 RepliesActually, leveling up a faction can give you a their faction shader. It is proven. Just level it up.

Yes I am very disappointed that all I get are common and rare shaders most of which I already have. And honestly theres only three shaders that look good, Beowulf, god of war, and a silver metallic one. Please add new ones because right now I have enough exotic weapons, almost maxed out titan and besides wanting my raid boots I need to get better shaders.

I thought when we joined a faction we'd have faction specific shaders, ships, and weapons. Thats why I chose Dead Orbit. I don't understand why the shader lady and the special vendor or whatever that is at the front near the mail never have anything.
